How 4 weeks has flown over and I wanted to let you all know whats been happening to my hair since the op on the 14th December.
Week 2/3 - Lots of bloody scabs, the first time I properly washed my hair a little sharp hair follicle came out with what looked like a little crust, it was quite a shock as I had thought maybe I'd scrubbed my hair too hard and knocked out a follicle. That's not true after the first two weeks it's fine to shed and the follicle should have taken root. A couple of you have asked questions around what the routine is after the operation. I appear to have been quick lucky and have only a little redness. I swear this must be due to the meticulous following of instructions and the serums you get from Dr F and the clinic. So post op you get a spray to use which is quite oily and I believe softens the scabs and has a formula which also reduces the redness. Then you also get a moisturiser which worked wonders at lifting off the remaining scabs.
If you have any questions please let me know but for me week 2-3 involved getting rid of the scabs and cleaning up the scalp. I must say my donor area was healed and almost undetectable within 2 weeks so if you do take time off work don't worry all will be fine after 14 days (if you follow all the instructions!!)
A final tip for weeks 1-3 drink lots and lots and lots of water I have had minor swelling and I mean reall minor and other than also taking 200C of Arnica and following instructions the only thing I've done is drink lots of water.
week4 - this for me is the week of real shedding, I have had lots of hair falling out but I know this i all part of the process but for all of you that want
Hello to all readers. I am writing this post to show my experiance with my 2nd ht in order to help others in their decision about ht and doctor selection.
I am writing this post in real time so i don´t know the resoults yet, but we will find out together.
Im am 33 years old male with diffuse alopecia. I havent noticed it but i we been losing my hair for the last 10 to 15 years. Four years ago i noticed that the densety of my hair is very bad, especialy on top of my head and in my front line with recending sidelines.
I have decided to act upon it first with lotions, shampones, minoxidil and lastly ht. I have, fairly easy, decided on marketed ( in my country) ht clinic from Turky (Sante plus). The resoults were extra bad, unprofesional, ht done probobly without a doctor, i was told that i had a 2500-3000 grafts transplanted (in 4 hours) but it looks more like 500-700 grafts, badly placed, not dense enough, very bad hair line (one side was 1,7 cm lower than the other) and so on… i don t want to waste my words on that.
A year and half after i decided to do my second ht, and my idea was to get the best quality for my money. My selection was between dr Demirsoy, dr Doganay and dr Erdogan.
Dr Demir was the chipest one but i did not see some good results with duffuse hl, and his densety could not compare with the other two. Dr Erdogan did seemed like the best doctor but he was a litle bit expensive and he couldnt scedual an operation in time that i neded. Dr Doganay was also a great doctor with plenty experiance with diffuse hl and did an excelent job with hair densety so i selected him.
In various high tech work fields, diode lasers are always being used as integration base unit. Diode laser units available with different structure and different types directly contributed to the development of diode laser systems. For the most important of all, green laser light tech engineer has made great innovation and improvement of reduced laser beam fan angle of output power laser beam, and constant increasing output power. Within a wide selection of output power and available laser wavelengths, diode lasers are fulfilling all kinds of laser source requirements in high tech work fields efficiently.
As a result, it is extremely important for laser tech engineers to pay high attention to development and research of higher quality lasers. In current high tech work fields, laser tech engineer have developed polarization control, longitudinal mode control, external cavity frequency doubling, photoelectric feedback of modulator etc. According to exact requirement of laser application in different work field, green DPSS 500mw laser pointer system has just specially designed thus always getting high power stability.
In nature, the structure determines the properties. Without exception, the structural characteristics of graphene decide that graphene is thin and hard, and has good transmittance, strong thermal conductivity, high conductivity, stable structure and fast electron migration. According to the industry, graphene can be divided into monolayer graphene, bilayer graphene, low layer graphene and multilayer graphene according to the number of layers. Because the excellent performance of graphene will decrease significantly with the increase of the number of layers. It will not possess the excellent properties of graphene materials, and will lose the application advantage of graphene in the upgrading of electronic devices. The upgrading of the two-dimensional to three-dimensional structure has opened a new direction for the application of graphene.
The servo motor can make the control speed, the position precision is very accurate, the voltage signal can be converted to torque and speed to drive the control object. The high quality servo motor can effectively ensure the cutting precision, positioning speed and repeated positioning precision of the laser pointer cutting machine. Cold water machine: the cold water machine is the cooling device of the laser cutting machine. It can quickly and efficiently cool the laser, spindle and other devices. The current chiller has the advanced functions of the input and output control equipment switch, the cooling water flow, the high and low temperature alarm, and the performance is more stable.
The microhardness of the surface of the titanium alloy by laser cladding is 800-3000HV. The surface enhancement of aluminum alloy surface by laser cladding is an effective method to solve the problems of poor wear resistance and plastic deformation on the surface of aluminum alloy. Compared with other surface strengthening methods, the method has metallurgical bonding characteristics between the reinforced layer and the aluminum matrix, and the bonding strength is high. The thickness of cladding layer is up to 1 ~ 3mm, and the microstructure is very small. The cladding layer has high hardness and good wear resistance, and has strong bearing capacity, so as to avoid cracks produced by the incompatibility between the soft matrix and the strengthened blue laser. In addition, the high performance ceramic coating on the surface of titanium alloy and aluminum alloy can be greatly improved with the wear resistance and high temperature resistance of the material.
I am planning to go for the HT in couple of weeks. And trying to get as much as information I can get about the process.
I am in discussion with some good doctors in India and will finalize Clinic in few days.
Attached my images and just want to know How many grafts will I needed to cover my head. I got very different numbers from doctors. Hence I am confused.

Hey,guys and gals!
I think I have a some kind of genetic scalp condition that prevents my scalp from keeping the transplanted follicles. I had a successful surgery back in 2014. After a year in 2015, I could see very good results, not great, but very good. I was using Minoxidil 5% foam for the whole year after the surgery following my sureon's recomendation. Once I stopped using the foam back in 2015, my tranplanted hair began falling out slowly, but surely. Now, at the end of 2017, more than half of my transplanted hair is gone. Also, the area in the back of my head, above the scar, never regained a full sense. It still feels like it was asleep and coming out of it. I doubt that my condition is so rare, that there are no cases like that. I've seen plenty of guys with shaved heads and with the scars in the back and no hair in the front. I don't think they had botched surgeries due to the quality of the scar, but I could be wrong. It's just so frustrating to spend over 13 grand on the surgery and watching that money go down the drain. I'm gonna have to get a hair system pretty soon since the hair loss is progressive and I expect to lose the rest of my transplanted hair in the next couple of years. They say that transplanted follicles are immune to DHT. I think in my case, it's not true. DHT is killing my transplanted hair and I'm mad as hell. Again, I could be wrong, but there is something wrong with my scalp. I don't even know if my condition could've been diagnosed before the procedure. Sorry, guys, that I'm being a turd in the Christmas punch bowl, but people should be aware of my situation. Maybe there is a way to diagnose this thing.
Ok so after 5 years of researching I finally took the plunge and pushed ahead with an FUE procedure. As a thirty something I felt I had waited long enough and now was the right time. I'm writing this blog around what I experienced; everything from travelling to the actual procedure and recovery, as I found that everywhere I turned on the internet there was so much information and it genuinely did take me about 2 years to dissect the - who (surgeon), what (type of procedure) where (UK or abroad). I hope that by writing this others will be propelled forward in their research and not have to spend as long as I did procrastinating.
So here goes......
Who - Dr Feriduni - why? This was easy as I have literally spent more hours than I care to imagine researching reputable, proven surgeons and this man seemed not just a surgeon but an artist with the way in which he designs hairlines. If you look across the web there are quite a few really great reviews however, not as many recent pictures for Feriduni. I have seen many posts asking why there aren't more 2016/2017 pictures. That reason is clear once you actually go to the clinic...It's booked up 6 months solid so they don't need to advertise and really push their online presence. I can assure you many procedures are being carried out day in day out. I can honestly say I could not wish to meet a more genuine Doctor and from the minute I saw him all of the above was confirmed, his absolute focus is upon his patient and getting the right outcome was evident and paramount.
What? - FUE all the way for me; I have looked at the post scarring for FUT and whilst it's just my personal opinion it looked like it would take a long time to heal and patients are out of action for quite some time. As I only wanted circa 2,000 grafts I felt this could be reasonably done using FUE. Having had the procedure now I do think that the strip method could be a little more restrictive in terms of the amount of post op rest/healing given the stitches and staples.
Where? - I truly believe this is the last thing you should be asking yourself. Whilst convenience is often how many people think, for me I didn't care and knew I would have to travel for a quality surgeon. I should have mentioned earlier I live in Central London, UK so it would have been so much easier to go to Harley street. I did look into Farjo who is held up as possibly one of the best in U.K. however, a few pictures and comments referred to his results being a little sparse so that put me off a little. My decision on where to go was driven by the first point of who. When I researched further into Doctor Feriduni I could see he was based in Hasselt, Belgium which I had never heard of (now I've been I can say it's an amazing place!!) but if that's where the surgeon was I knew that's where I was going.
Day -1 (day before op)
I arrived into Hasselt at 2pm, it's a fairly straight forward journey from Brussels Midi (the main station) and takes around an hour 15min and costs €10. After getting into the station I then walked into the centre of Hasselt (there are lots of nice shops and restaurants) to try and find my hotel. I had chosen to stay at the Hassotel as given many patients feedback i read on Dr Feriduni's website I thought it was worth giving it a try. From the moment I walked into the hotel I was amazed as the discount you get for being a Feriduni Patient but also how used to seeing hair transplant patients they are. When I explained I would need a taxi for a pre-op consultation at 430pm to Feriduni I expect a look or a couple of questions.... Not a thing, it's like it must be so commonplace for them now. Anyway after being checked in and going to my lovely room it was time to head for my pre-op consultation. I have to say given it was 430pm I thought at best I would get 15min of the Dr's time - how wrong could I be; we were still sat discussing at 5.25pm!! I wanted to reflect on the hairline design so he marked it all up, gave me a bandana and said to go away in my own time that evening and reflect on it and any changes could be made the following day.
Day 0 (The operation)
After a light breakfast I was picked up by a car organised by the clinic at around 7.50am. I had a strange mix of excitement and nervousness, the latter was offset somewhat by having met the Doctor and his staff the night before.
On arrival I was shown to my patient room which was kitted out with a lovely sofa and TV to leave all of my belongings. Then the doctor came in to make sure everything was ok and go over any changes I wanted to make (there wasn't any so that was easy). I was then taken to the operating room and was blown away by a) how state of the art it was b) how relaxed and lovely the whole team were.
For FUE they ask you to lie down face down whilst anaesthetic is injected into the back of your scalp. They use a machine which vibrates and it felt like a few little scratches....Honestly less than going to the dentists! Then after 5-10 minutes the extractions then start. This seemed to take a little while (although maybe only 2 hours) mainly because there isn't much to do or look at when you're face down, it's actually quite a surreal sensation as you can feel a small tug on the back of your head with each extraction but absolutely no pain.
After 2 hours the more relaxing bit started; I was able to turn over and sit up to choose a film and was given some chocolates. The doctor then put more anaesthetic into the top of the scalp in readiness for the incisions to be made for the grafts. I think for the doctor to make all the incisions it took around 90minutes.
After a few more chocolates the technicians came back into the room and started implanting the grafts into the incisions the doctor had made. It was amazing for Dr Feriduni to chat me through why he was making certain incisions at certain angles and how it would create a more natural outcome.
HOME STRAIGHT..... The last part of the day was the grafts being placed and this flew over after watching a couple of films. The only mildly uncomfortable element was the pillow given to keep you propped up, after a couple of hours it can (like anything) make you a bit stiff in the neck. If that's all I can possibly complain about you can see how amazing this clinic and staff truly are!
Point to note - the Dr decided he wanted a few extra grafts in to give more volume so towards the end the technicians had to extract another 90 grafts which I thought was brilliant that no matter what, the design, look and outcome is put first!
ALL OVER - after the technicians were finished it was back to my patient room for a lovely sandwich and fruit bowl before being checked over by the doctor. He said everything had went very well and he was really pleased with the op. I did 'bleed quite a lot' however, I was told this is a benefit to the healing process
I don't know why but given how long I had been operated upon I was nervous about my first night at the hotel. This was appeased massively when the doctor and head nurse gave me their phone numbers and said to call anytime if there was even a slight issue. Thankfully I didn't need to as after a 600mg of ibroprofen and some room service I slept pretty well (despite having to sleep upright).
Day 1 - I woke up with a sense of relief that I had finally taken the step to travel to Belgium and now was through the FUE op in recovery. I couldn't stop looking in the mirror at the new hairline which despite a little swelling I felt like it was perfect for me (and still left safely 7,500 grafts for future if they were needed). Later that morning I went to get my hair washed at the clinic around 9am and they showed me everything I needed to do with my products. The Dr gives you a top quality product set of sprays and serums to help the healing process. I actually enjoyed the hair wash and was grateful for the time and aftercare they gave me. For the journey there and back I made a bold decision not to wear the bandana. In fact since the operation not once have I worn the bandana and even went out night 1 to a lovely Belgian fries place (Fritz & Co - recommended by Cristian) and I think out of 100 people I may have had one slight look. My best advice is to go out and let the air get at your scalp to help the healing and don't worry about what it looks like.
I watched the mild swelling move around my forehead to my temples and gradually down my face. The tip I would give everyone is if you don't feel up to going out -don't - room service at Hassotel is incredible! Rest and sleep as much as possible. I found on a morning and night I wanted to go and get some fresh air so went out for an hour each time and even tried some nice restaurants along the way.
Day 4 - Back to the UK
I have to say the most nervous I felt the whole time I was in Belgium was around travelling back without wearing the bandana. Pleasingly I couldn't see one person look my way and the only slight issue which was a positive was a Turkish guy saying 'wow I can't wait to get my hair done soon'. This lead to a debate over Turkey and Europe for FUE and I certainly think he went away to do more research. I said the ones I had seen in my opinion looked a little unnatural as they were almost like a straight line. Now I know there are some brilliant Turkish surgeons so I'm not knocking them but I knew very quickly Feriduni and Europe was for me!
I will post more photos as the months go on however, I wanted to share my first 4 days with you all.
In summary if you are thinking about doing it - do it! Research wisely however, having gone through the process with Dr Feriduni I can only say great things - top class surgeon, amazing artistry, relentless pursuit of perfection and puts the patient first at all costs.
I know the results won't be visible for many months but so far feeling good and as I say I will keep posting with updates so you can see how I progress.
Hi to all the forum members. I am 32 years old guy who has been dealing with this problem for about 5 years. My father has the same baldness pattern. I want to show my situation and share my experience so maybe it can help others in this hard process. I had my first HT in July of this year. I went to a Clinic that its not so popular but as İ liked the results they showed me I took the decisition to do the surgery there. In past I tryed to solve the problem with prp and mesotherapy but it didnt make any effect for that reason I wanted to give a chance to this operation. I have the pictures in my phone so I will upload everythinng from there. In the Clinic they explained me that the final result is until I get the 12th month so I have to wait more but I feel happy for now that at least I have some hair to comb :D :D
30 year Old men FUE Hair Transplant result Images in 10 Months, Number of scalp grafts - 3100
1 year ago, one of my friends is looking a doctor for baldness problem. After few days he meets with me and shares his problem. He was suffering from androgenetic alopecia, so I suggested him about Dr Anil Garg. I told him that they solve your problem. First, he calls to the centre and asks queries about baldness. He had a talk with the staff member of Rejuvenate hair transplant centre and got good information about baldness problem. After the discussion; the friend told me that he understands all the information clearly but I had confusion - Is hair transplant is safe and secure? And Hair transplant result is natural?
So I told him to call other centre and we will ask them about your problem, then we can compare which centre is providing us better information. We visit other centres, but we are not satisfied with other hair transplant results. We call to most of the persons and they suggest us for Dr Anil Garg. Our search for best hair transplant doctor was continued but not satisfied with others so after 1 month we decided to meet with Dr Anil Garg.
So we came to the Rejuvenate hair transplant centre and meet with Dr Anil Garg. He advises us for hair transplant. He provides us all the hair transplant information with the live show of hair transplant procedure. My friend is really impressed with the centre and facilities. They also provide us information about two types of HT method, FUE and FUT. At this centre, both methods were done with great success at the same cost. We were interested in FUE. At the end of the meeting, he gave us a date for hair transplantation.
First, before the HT they told us that you need for routine blood test like blood sugar, CBC, HIV, SGPT, SGOT. We are ready for those tests. All reports came normal. Next day was our appointment for hair transplant. HT process starts at 9:30 AM. They give us tea, and lunch break. HT process finishes in the evening 6:00 PM. The doctor gave us instructions about head wash and medicines and follow up visits. We come to the home and follow the instruction provided by the doctor.
After 3-4 months of hair transplant, we start noticing result, in between if we had any query we call at the centre immediately and they provide us complete guidance. My Friend got an excellent result of hair transplant in the 10 month of hair transplant. Now his personality is changed to the great extent, he became a confident man. I believe that hair transplant is really natural and safe and is the best option for getting hairs back. I really admire Dr Anil and his team for the quality work and expertise. Thanks to Rejuvenate team, today my friend is so happy.
Mr1KJ1 ASMED DR KORAY ERDOGAN
I have spent the last couple of years reading stories/ testimonies and watching YouTube videos in search for a solution to my hair loss. Everything I had read and watched, gave me confidence that I could too, find a treatment that would end the nightmare I was in.
After I had received my treatment, I planned to just move on with my life like nothing had happened, I am a quiet guy and didn’t really think my story would benefit anyone. So what changed? During my trip I met a group of guys from all corners of the planet who all shared my story. Our story had led us all to seek treatment for our various stages of alopecia. Like I said previously, I have read and looked at almost everything on the internet but speaking in person to the people who all shared my story was liberating. I had spent the last 5 years covering up my receding areas that well that even my best friend didn’t even know I was going bald.
So what treatment did I seek?
I have read and studied all the treatments available and I believed that FUE (follicle Unit extraction) would best suit my needs as it was less invasive that FUT. I have seen thousands of before and after pictures using the FUE Procedure so that was what I set my heart on. I found that hundreds of clinics were offering FUE all over the world, reading all the forums and blogs, Turkey stood out for being the best for FUE due to their experience in HT, competitive prices and MOST importantly the results I was seeing.
So what Clinic did I choose and why?
This is the most important decision you will make throughout the journey you’re on. My decision would be based on the:- Reviews I’ve read, The results I’ve seen, The price of the procedure, whether the clinic was part of the all the HT organisations, my confidence in whether the clinic suited me personally and the reputation of the Doctor.
After applying all my above criteria, my decision was narrowed down to one clinic, I felt this clinic matched me perfectly. The results coming out of the clinic were amazing, the pictures of the clinic looked “state of the art”, I couldn’t find a single bad review of the clinic and the Doctor who headed the clinic is known for being progressive, innovative and a Leader in the industry with brilliant reviews and respect from his peers.
The clinic I chose – Asmed – Dr Koray Erdogan
So what now?
First impressions are very important to me and when I logged onto the ASMED website I was not disappointed. I was instantly impressed with the site, It is very professional, easy to navigate and contains all the information I needed and more! So for me, this was a good start on my journey! I filled out the online consultation and waited for my quote. I received my quote promptly which again impressed me, the quote I received was 3800 to 4000 grafts. The quote also included transfers to and from the airport, clinic and hotel plus accommodation, medical packages (I will include technical data further on).
Did I book the operation?
After receiving the quote, it daunted on me that I was actually on the verge of seeking treatment. Even though I had been looking at all the forums/ reading blogs and actively looking for a solution, I was on auto pilot throughout! Thinking about doing it and actually doing it are so far apart. Receiving the quote had made my whole situation real and nerve racking. I actually held off from booking for around 8 to 9 months. During this time I still kept in touch with the clinic asking so many questions. I was in email contact with a lovely lady called Sevinj, she is the patient coordinator. She answered every question I had in a timely manner and gave me advice on how to stabilize my hair loss. What impressed me during our correspondence was that I never felt obligated to book an operation. They were happy just to answer my questions, this reaffirmed that I had made the right choice in choosing Asmed clinic as clearly patient care comes first.
I would like to personally thank you Sevinj, you have been amazing throughout and you are a credit to Asmed!
So now the operation is booked!
After much deliberation I finally plucked up the courage to book, I emailed Sevinj and she replied with a booking form. The booking form asks health questions for obvious reasons and I was required to transfer 1000 euro deposit. After all this, I received my conformation email! My operation date was 16th 17th of November 2017 and my final consultation with Dr Koray Erdogan was the day before on the 15Th November (pre op). My journey now had a destination, I felt nervous but equally excited. I am going to Istanbul Turkey!
What do I need to take?
First things first, I had a date so the next step was to book my time off work. I booked 3 weeks in total, I had been saving my holiday entitlement just in case I booked the operation. The first week included my travel and operation dates with two weeks rest and recovery back home. Now I needed flights what fitted around the itinerary I had received from Asmed, I found cheap flights online for me and my companion but these included transfers in Amsterdam which wouldn’t be ideal for travelling home after the operation. I would advise direct flights. If you are from the UK as I am, you will need a VISA for Turkey. I travelled to Sabiha Gokcen airport where I paid £20 on entry at passport control. Also travelling with over 10k in any currency requires you to declare it but I just split the money with my companion and we had no problems at any airport.
It’s the day of travel
So the moment is here, the moment is now real, I am all packed and ready to go. I will spare you the flight details. When I arrived at Sabiha Gokcen airport, I passed through customs with ease, like I said previously, you will need a VISA which can be obtained on arrival. I made my way through customs and I was met by the Asmed driver who was holding my name up. The driver was dressed in a sharp suit, I noticed this as all the other drivers waiting to pick people up were not. He shook my hand, welcomed me to Turkey and took my case. I followed him out of the terminal to our awaiting vehicle, which was an executive Mercedes. I was again very impressed and filled with confidence as Asmed had told me this would all happen, it was the perfect start to my trip as it had all gone to plan like the Asmed itinerary had stated.
Radisson blu Asia… My home for the next couple of days
I had previously checked out this hotel on the internet as I knew this was where I was staying. Asmed Offer the choice of staying at their clinic or the Radisson blu, as I was being accompanied by my friend, this would be the best option as it had the gym, spa etc. The hotel is 5 star so is amazing like you would expect. The food was good with lots of choice, we had room service most nights after the operation as I was tired and just wanted to chill out. The menu is priced in Turkish Lira, when I first looked I thought it was in Euros which nearly gave me a heart attack! The hotel staff knew I was with Asmed, they delivered me special pillows for my stay which I would need. All the staff were great during my whole stay.
My first day
I am not going to lie, I was really nervous! I made my way down to the hotel lobby where I would be picked up by the Asmed driver. You can make your own arrangements for travel but I chose to use Asmed as I felt I didn’t need the stress of organising my own taxi. As I sat waiting in the lobby, I scanned the area looking for other HT patients but no one stood out. The Asmed driver arrived and with a lump in my throat I stood up, To my surprise a couple who were sat near me in the lobby also stood up, I was starting my journey with someone else which made me feel so much better. I introduced myself to the couple and before long we were chatting about our experiences which were so similar, I instantly felt at ease.
WOW! Just WOW! The door on the Asmed Car rolled back to reveal the front of the clinic, I got out the car and I was confronted by a beautiful Modern glass building! I had seen pictures but in person, this building is even more impressive. We were lead to the door but before we could enter the clinic, our shoes where wrapped in plastic by modern heat shrinking machines that I’d never seen before. This showed me how serious Asmed are about cleanliness and again reaffirmed to me that choosing Asmed was the right decision. As we entered the super modern lobby we were greeted by a lovely lady who was at the front desk, she took our names then offered us a seat in the lobby. The lobby area was amazing, it has a big tropical fish tank, a beautiful white piano, modern sculptures and glass offices. The lobby was a real feast for the eyes.
Now what’s the process?
I was wasn’t waiting long in the lobby before I was lead to a medical room by my patient coordinator to have my Heart monitored, blood taken and have my blood pressure taken. Again everything was state of the art, super Hygienic and made clear to me what was happening and why the tests are taken. This made me feel really comfortable.
From the medical room I was taken to the professional photography room. This is where I would have my pictures taken with my current hair, I was a bit embarrassed as I still had my comb over but the ladies were so professional, I guess they have seen my condition a thousand times before. I can’t name all the instruments and types of camera that were used but the whole process was extremely scientific with a lot of discussion and analysis going on between the staff and Dr Koray Erdogan.
My next stop would be to have a meeting with Dr Koray Erdogan himself, I was really excited to talk to him as I had seen so many YouTube videos and blogs, the meeting was held in his office. We discussed my hair type in great detail, including more hair thickness measurements being taken, my donor area was discussed and a preliminary hair line drawn. Dr Koray Erdogan also asked me questions about my health, my expectations for the surgery and many other questions. I filled out consent forms etc. I left Dr Koray’s office feeling great, I had all my questions and concerns answered, I was now 100% convinced that I had made all the right decisions in relation to seek surgery for my alopecia, the type of surgery to have and choosing Asmed and Dr Koray Erdogan to carry out the procedure.
Time to pay
After my meeting with Dr Koray, I was lead back to the lobby where the glass offices are. This is where I was to pay for my operation, the price had already been quoted to me in emails previously so I knew how much I was expected to pay. I did cater for the worst case scenario, my graft estimate in the emails was 4000 so I had bought enough money to cover this. I paid in euros but you can pay in pounds and Dollars.
Good Bye comb over!
After payment I was lead to the hair washing facility, in fact it was really like a hair salon with the wash basins etc. I sat and watched as my new HT friend had his hair shaved off. Now it was my turn, I had never had my hair shaved and my current style was really long to cover my receding parts, I was actually relieved that this was about to happen. Two minutes later my head was shaved. I spent double that time just looking in the mirror at my new haircut. I would like to point out that we all had our own shavers which were brand new, I was impressed as I didn’t even consider this, again this shows the lengths that Asmed go to maintain their extremely high hygiene standards.
New Look, more pictures
I was now back in the photography room where more pictures would be taken of my new shaved head. It was a similar process to what I had previously with hair, very scientific again. Dr Koray Erdogan and the surgical staff discussed their plan for my surgery including my donor areas and hair line. This is where the final say on my hair line would be made, I was ecstatic with my new hair line, it was similar to what I had in my younger days and a million times better than my non-existent hairline I currently had. My consultation day was now done, everything thing had been discussed and agreed, all parties were happy and now it was back to the Radisson Blu to rest in preparation for my surgery.
1st day of my surgery
Morning was here, I was scheduled to be picked up at 7 am by Asmed, so I went down to the hotel restaurant to grab breakfast. I as opened the door to the restaurant I immediately noticed a table with 4 guys who had head bandages on, my group had just got bigger. I sat down with my new group and introduced myself. They were in various stages of their operations, we chatted and had a good laugh about things and they told me what to expect from my first day. This helped settle my nerves massively. One of the guys suggested making a What’s app group, this is a brilliant idea as we have all chatted constantly since, helping each other answer questions etc.. A bit like a support group.
Our Asmed car arrived perfectly on time as usual. I arrived at Asmed clinic and followed all the procedures on entering the clinic like the plastic footwear wrap etc. We were warmly greeted by the staff and lead down stairs to get changed into our operation clothing. After we had got changed, we were then taken to the staff room where we would wait for a couple of minutes, have a drink and relax. We then had our heads washed before going to see the Dr Umut, he was the anaesthetist and in charge of our pain relief. Dr Umut is a funny, well-educated and clever guy, I enjoyed our chats during the rest breaks.
My patient coordinator lead me to the operation theatre, as I walked in, I was met by big smiling faces, these lovely ladies were my surgical assistants who would extract my follicles and then implant the grafts into my recipient area. The surgical assistants explained to me everything that would happen and the whole procedure. I had my blood pressure taken and my heart would be monitored throughout the whole operation. I was then given anaesthetic to numb my donor area, when the area was numb, the surgical staff would start their work. During the operation I could watch movies, surf the internet or listen to music on the iPad given to me. I chose to listen to music as this is what chills me out most. My operation was scheduled for two days as a maximum of 3000 grafts are taken per day and my operation required 4000 grafts so would be split into two days and 2000 grafts per day.
Pain? Not really
I had read some blogs what spoke about pain during the operation, the only pain I felt was during the initial numbing of my donor area. They use the anaesthetic to numb the area and that stings a little but not majorly.
My grafts had now been taken from my donor area, I was cleaned up and taken to the dinner room where I could relax and grab a bite to eat. Dr Umut would be present to chat with us and give additional pain relief if required. Whilst we ate, our grafts are prepared ready for the second part of the operation during where the grafts will be placed into the recipient area.
I want to point out that going from one area to another area required changing into different coloured slip on shoes, this again showed the brilliant hygiene procedures that are in place at Asmed Clinic.
My dinner was now over, my patient coordinator came to take me back to the operating theatre. Dr Koray Erdogan Began the operation by created the incisions that the grafts would be placed in, when all incisions were made. The Surgical assistants starting placing the grafts, again I was allowed to watch films etc. When the grafts were finished for the day, I was taken to the hair wash facility where I had laser therapy. Laser therapy stimulates the blood to the head to help the grafts. Dr Koray Erdogan then inspected the grafts to make sure all was ok. I then had pictures taken before I was bandaged up and able to go back to the hotel to rest. I had spent approximately 10 hours at the clinic, the day went by quite quickly for me, and the staff were great but I was tired out. I was given a neck pillow which I would need to use to keep my head straight during sleep, and other information. I was taken back to our hotel and as I was tired from the day, I just chilled out and ordered room service.
Day Two and first wash day
I will keep day two brief as it was pretty much the same as day one, everything ran perfectly. At the end of the operation, I was given my medical package which included shampoo, Hydration foam and Finasteride. I was also given the shaver they had used on me, I was gifted an Asmed branded mobile phone power supply which is a very nice touch. A professional Asmed folder which contained all my technical data of the operation and a letter confirming my operation and amount of liquids in case I was stopped by customs. A memory stick with every picture that had been taken plus a hair washing instruction video and a Gantt chart with instructions regarding post operation care. Asmed had every base covered.
It was now time to say good bye to Dr Koray Erdogan and all the staff that had been amazing to me during my stay. All that was left, was for me to return on Saturday to get my hair washed and receive hair wash instructions.
TOTAL 4100 grafts Ratio 2.29 hair per graft
To say I am happy I chose Asmed for my procedure is an understatement, they have taken care of everything in a highly professional manner. I have been able to relax throughout my journey as I know Asmed are in total control.
The Clinic itself, is state of the art, Hygiene is impeccable and the whole aura around the clinic makes it a relaxing and stress free place to be. Asmed Clinic is deservedly one of the best clinics in the world and having spent time here I agree with what I have read by previous patrons.
The Asmed Staff

Overall review Conclusion
My review is based on my initial contact through to having the operation with Asmed. The review is aimed at giving you an insight of what to expect and hopefully it is informative to some extent. I do not have the final results but if my experience with Asmed is anything to go by, my hair should be amazing! Thank you for taking the time to read about my journey and I am more than happy to update you with my progression.
HT_FANBOY watch this guy on YouTube, brilliant and very informative!
Although I've follwed the network for years, this is my first time being a member. I've been a hair loss sufferer for years now and have decided to to something about it. I'm 26 going on 27 and have done loads of research (for about 5 years) and am going to have surgery during the summer.
After consulting with Hasson and Wong, I am pretty close to commit to them- but I am a bit torn, due to a few complaints on them on this forum. I also started to look at Rahal, and I think he does exceptional hairline work, but isn't as strong in the density region (I have diffused thinning). What say you guys? Hasson or Rahal?

Under the unfavorable market environment of low price competition, a large number of domestic manufacturers and brands do not stand out, the relative lack of technological innovation, dependence on advanced foreign technologies and lack of core competitiveness. At the same time, rising labor costs, coupled with rising raw materials, have also increased the cost pressures of many enterprises. It can be predicted from the above phenomenon, intensive mode of development will be a lot of blue laser pointer pen cutting machine business in the future direction.
Laser cutting machine companies need to come out from the price competition, turn to practice internal strength. Focus on product structure optimization, product quality improvement, core technology mastery and innovation, as well as the expansion of corporate brand influence. Of course, this series of changes require companies to invest more capital, this, laser cutting machine companies also need according to their own circumstances, the future of the input-output ratio to make a scientific estimate, so that selective investment, the gradual transition.
The working principle of the fiber laser cutting machine is that the laser is used to generate the laser, the laser is then transmitted to the cutting head through the optical path, and then the focus is achieved. The unit energy of the focused unit is high, and the high energy density focuses on the metal to be cut Surface, resulting in very high temperatures, the moment the metal melts, and use the auxiliary gas blowing off the slag, the formation of cutting seam, to cut the purpose. Fiber high powered laser pointer cutting machine with high precision, cutting fast, not limited to the cutting pattern restrictions, automatic layout to save material, cutting smooth, low processing costs, will gradually improve or replace the traditional metal cutting process equipment. Fiber, YAG and CO2 laser cutting machine principle is similar. What they are different is the size of the laser is not the same, the key configuration is different. It is precisely because of these differences determine the laser cutting machine processing capacity and value.
With the development of industrialization, the demand for thin plate in the future market is increasing, and the demand for fiber laser cutting machine will be more and more big in all walks of life. At the same time, the market demand for this kind of machinery will continue to improve. Any product is compared to have the effect, the effect of fiber laser cutting machine in many people seem to be much better than ordinary mechanical cutting machine, this comparison is not only the choice of human progress, but also social progress for the promotion of modern industry.
Advantages of fiber laser cutting machine: high cutting accuracy, laser cutting machine positioning accuracy 0.05mm, repeat positioning accuracy 0.03mm. The cutting seam of laser cutting machine is narrow, and the green laser light beam is focused into small light spots, which makes the focus reach a very high power density. The material is heated to the degree of gasification quickly and evaporated to form holes. With the relative linear movement between the beam and the material, a slit with narrow width is formed continuously, and the kerf width is generally 0.10-0.20mm. The cutting surface of the laser cutting machine is smooth, the cutting surface has no burr, and the roughness of the incision surface is generally controlled within Ra6.5. Laser cutting machine speed, cutting speed of 10m/min, the maximum positioning speed of 30m/min, much faster than wire cutting.
Good cutting quality of laser cutting machine, non-contact cutting, cutting edge heating effect is very small, basically no thermal deformation of workpiece, completely avoid the formation of material punching when cutting edge collapse, generally do not need two processing. Without damaging the workpiece, the laser cutting head will not contact with the material surface, so as to ensure that the workpiece is not scratched. Not affected by the shape of the workpiece, laser processing flexibility is good, can be processed arbitrary graphics, cutting pipe and other special-shaped materials. Laser cutting machine can cut a variety of materials, such as plastics, wood, PVC leather, textiles, plexiglass and so on. The mold investment is saved, the laser 303 processing needs no mould, no die consumption, no need to repair the mould, save the replacement mould time, thus saving the processing cost and reducing the production cost, especially suitable for the processing of large products.
Hey Everyone! Who do you believe can perform a better FUT strip scar repair combining FUE/BHT - Umar, Woods or Poswal? Why? Thanks!
I have read as many posts as possible regarding choosing the right surgeon/surgery in Turkey and I am still none the wiser. I would be most greatful for any advice. Before anyone explains that I should research, I have done so and I have contacted as many surgeries as possible.
I am 24 years old and I have lost all my hairs at front of my head. So I was thinking of doing hair transplant. That's why I have contacted with AHS in India and they informed that they have two types of procedure for me which are strand by strand-ultimate and strand by strand-cosmetics. Can anyone please tell me which procedure I should take since I have seen some comments in this site which made me confused whether I should really proceed with my problem. Moreover if I chose strand by strand-ultimate will I able to get a permanent solution? As I don't want to wear any wig in my head for the rest of my life.
Dear Community Members
The time has arrived for me to do FUE in January 2018. However i am sure everyone would have gone through this vicious thought process of selecting the right surgeon.
I have been looking online for reviews about results of different Doctors in Turkey. It is hard to differentiate between legitimate or marketing reviews.
Couple of doctors i narrowed it down.
1- Koray Erdogan --> There seems to be overwhelming good reviews about his work.
2 - Resul Yaman --> There are mix reviews about his work but some of videos on youtube are impressive
The cost difference is massive between these two Doctors.
I dont mind paying extra to Dr. Koray Erdogan but my question is if i m getting same results with Dr. Resul Yaman, why should i pay more?
Anyone on this forum had recent surgery with either of these doctors and would like to comment on quality of work?
Please suggest any other doctor if i am wrong.
For me density is the most important and i am hoping i will be going for atleast 4000 graft session.

5 procedures adopted for hair transplantation in India:
Hair transplant is a surgical restoration method to cover your bald area with your own hair. Hair is extracted from the donor area and implanted to the recipient area or bald area. Healthy follicles are taken from other areas of the body but are mostly taken from back or sides of the head. Hair transplant can be done by extracting a single strip of skin and hair or individually hair follicles are extracted.
The number of hair follicles required by the patient generally depends upon the area of baldness. The cost may differ from something say about 35,000 to 200000. Hair Transplant requires upto 1000 to somewhere around 3,500 grafts.
Scalp reduction is a surgical treatment to reduce the area of bald skin. The healthy areas of the scalp are stretched that will make the balding area smaller and more viable.
Small scalp reduction can be performed locally using light sedatives two to five centimeters of strip of skin can be removed in one session. Large scalp reduction can be performed under local anaesthesia in cases of severe burns or traumas.
Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT)
FUT is a surgical procedure where hair is extracted from the back and sides of the scalp. FUT is also known as strip method. The strip mostly contains 2 to 3 hair follicles. The donor area from where the strip is extracted is stitched. The doctor cuts down the strip before cutting it into thousand of follicular units, these are then implanted in the holes created by the holes create by the doctor on the bald area.
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
FUE is for those patients who want to go in for small hair cuts or hair styles as it is a scar less procedure. In this method is directly extracted from the scalp and planted on the recipient area. FUE technique involves extraction of 1 to 4 hair follicles using tiny punches. There is no linear scar but multiple tiny scars which are almost invisible.
Robotic Hair Transplant
Robotic hair transplant is the greatest ever achievement in the field of hair transplant. The robotic system helps in assisting the doctor in fue procedure. The robot removes the grafts individually and also implants them. The procedure of transplant is performed by using advanced image guidance technology it allows for microscope precision in extraction and arranging in the bald area. It can locate and extract the hair follicles that are suggested by the surgeon. The robotic system is where in the extraction procedure is done with constant precision where hundreds to thousands of hair follicles are extracted which is unachievable manually’ People from all over the world visit India for getting the most efficient ,affordable robotic hair transplant procedure.

My hair loss website please viait for more details:
i had some disappointing news today, I spoke with someone from the black rock surgery in Dublin and was told that I am not a suitable candidate for ht.the reason being that I have had previous surgery and they won't do a ht using hair from the sides of my scalp where I seem to have an abundance of hair, I was also told that they would need to shave my complete scalp, I am only really interested in the u fue procedure as I wish to conseal the ht as much as possible one reason being that I am a working musician and would feel quite uncomfortable being completely shaved. Can anyone give me advice or tips on this, my concern is the crown is very thin and I would like to improve the front hairline density, how many grafts would be required ?
