I’m pretty young and have already started seeing some problems with my hairline receding, and so I figured it was never too early to start taking care of my hair and my body so that I can keep my hair for as long as possible.

I’m not quite ready to get involved with any serious hair chemicals like Rogaine, and honestly I’m not too interested in that either when I see there are more naturopathic treatments available that can do just as good, at least where I’m at right now.

Having healthy hair and skin is generally based off of your overall diet, as well as other factors, but eating greens and fruits on a regular basis does wonders in terms of maintaining and rejuvenating the strength of your scalp, which then can lead to stronger, thicker hair.

Of course it’s not always in the cards for everyone to take the time to get a healthy few servings of fruits and vegetables every single day because it simply takes too long and we’re all so busy with our jobs and such, but that’s why I’ve turned to a faster alternative of smoothies by using my blender and vegetable juicer to cut down on the time it takes for me to get the healthy nutrients my scalp needs.

So what I’ve done here in this article is compile five of my favorite smoothies that are known to help out balding guys and really anyone who is looking to strengthen their hair, so enjoy and feel free to try these out on your own!

Sweet Potato Smoothie

This may seem a little strange, but sweet potato smoothies actually taste fantastic, and they are AMAZING for hair growth because they have so much vitamin A.  Even just eating sweet potatoes in your regular diet can make a major difference in terms of your hair growth and skin tone, but that vitamin A will do wonders for your scalp strength.

Ingredients:

1 small sweet potato (cooked)

1 medium sized banana

2 cups of almond milk

Kale, Lemon and Apple Smoothie

This smoothie seems a little bit more traditional in terms of the apple sweetness, but that kale is going to give you the perfect amount of leafy greens you need on a regular basis, and it will go down really smoothly too. The lemons also are really beneficial in terms of eliminating any toxins within your hair, and the apple has a tremendous amount of fiber, which also helps too. Apples also have a heavy dosage of vitamin A and E and in general are great for helping your hair and skin shine.

Ingredients:

2 cups of kale (stalks removed)

½ of lemon (rind removed)

1 medium sized apple

½ cup of liquid base of your choice (milk or juice would work well)

Berry Blend Smoothie

Berries of all types are great for hair growth because they are rich in antioxidants, and of course they taste amazing in smoothies! What’s so great about the antioxidants in berries is that they promote cell regeneration, which then can lead to the regeneration of hair follicles. When you’re utilizing antioxidants and regenerating hair follicles you’ll put yourself in a place for success in terms of hair health.

Ingredients

1 cup of mixed berries

1 1/2 cup of water

1 tbsp of Chia seeds

Spinach Almond Blast Smoothie

This is an all-time classic smoothie that helps hair growth that I drink all the time, and it’s effective and tasty too. The peanut butter gives a good chocolate type of flavor that blends in well with the subsequent nutrients. Vitamin A and C are in abundance in this smoothie, which helps with scalp circulation and overall follicle development. This is a great smoothie for absorbing iron too!

Ingredients:

1 ½ cup of almond milk (vanilla or plain)

1 banana

1 tablespoon of peanut butter (natural)

3-4 kale leaves

Handful of spinach

Cucumber, Apple and Honey Smoothie

The silicone and sulfur in this smoothie are great ingredients that help with hair growth, and the honey is awesome for elasticity and moisture retention.

Ingredients:

1 cup of spinach

½ of medium cucumber

1 tablespoon of honey

1 medium sized apple

So enjoy these smoothies and feel free to reach out to me with an questions you may have!
