Ah! That's because of the coconut oil you might be using.

Fractioned coconut oil is processed differently and is already melted at room temp. It seems to be less oily and more absorbent when it comes into contact with the skin. I personally use DoTerra's version but there are several out there.

Also I only use about 20 drops or so

Hey guys!!! Day 62/63!

Since the last post my head has exploded with even more tiny white foliccles that are growing in length!! I didn't notice until my wife pointed it out in a specific light and boom! Well a lot of little white hairs have pushed through! Although the close up looks kinda gross I am super excited to see them! Welcome to your new home little guys! Now it's time to grow strong and healthy!

I can't wait to post more as more starts to happen!! Happy growing all!

The camera doesn't even capture all the hairs I see but progress is progress!!

I'm not sure I know the difference.

They are long and white so I am assuming they are my new hairs growing through without pigmentation just yet.

Nice results. keep us posted.
just out of curiosity, I have some hair in front of my hair(I cover my bald spots with these ones, lol), after I get into ugly duckling phase, I will lose all the implanted hair, but will I also lose my own hair that was NOT implanted? I just want to have an idea on how I will look like when I enter that phase.

Hey Dany,

There is a possibility that the non-transplanted hairs will go into shock loss and you may lose those hairs, however they typically grow back after a few months.

On a side note to everyone, I have quite a few hairs that did not fall out during the ugly duckling phase, is this normal? They seem to be growing in length and I trim them every week.

Hoping that they are healthy and just anchored earlier.

Hey Luke! I have a few hairs that didn't fall and are continuing to grow as well. I think they might be what was left of our native hairs that grew back after surgery, who knows.

Btw check out my thread that I just put up the other day! I'm 2 months 2 weeks post op, around the same time as you. I had a strip procedure and i'm glad that the ugly duckling phase is almost coming to an end. I heard 3 months is when you can start expecting growth.

Hitherehair,

I thibj think the mid portion may be the rest around the hairline is transplanted. As I didnt have any hair there befote.

Your scalp must feel a lot of relief now the staples are out! Looking good though!
