Work looks great. You're getting growth. All signs point to a fantastic result in the end. Keep in mind that the temple points were bare skin before. The kinky/wirey hair will stand out because of that. But be patient as those hairs will calm down and look more natural in the months to come.

Very interesting about pulling the stalled hairs. I swear I've had those before to but I never pulled on them.

We've seen this on few patients who come back at 6 or 9 months post op and had a spot that seemed to stall out. When we looked carefully with loupes on, we could see the stalkier hairs present. We took a forcep and pulled on those hairs, which came out quite easily. They reported back that those spots filled out to their satisfaction shortly after. Of course its easy for us with loupes and the right instrumentations to do this. This is one of the reasons why a patient has to wait full 12 months to evaluate their results. It just takes some patients longer to shed and grow all their transplanted hairs.

Keep an eye for the temple points. There may be other hairs that may need to be pulled out. Also check along the hairline as well. I'm confident you'll see the growth you're expecting soon. Keep us updated.

So I am here to update.

Now on month 8. Still no growth. I cut my hair shorter, and took some pictures.

Attached are the temple points. The hairline doesn't look any better; the only reason it is not bad is because I had native hair there. I reckon that about 30-40 hairs have grown on either temple point, and the same success/failure in the hairline.

I cut my hair short to see if I could see new hairs sprouting up and there isn't. As you can see from the pictures, it doesn't look natural. I will continue to wait till the 12 month mark, but I don't see this improving at all. The hairs that have grown have been the same color and thickness for the past 3 or so months.

The growth that I have had have been the same grafts that didn't shed in the beginning.

I can see in these pics that the temples are thin. I think they looked better grown out. I do not think that it is unnatural looking, just a little sparse.

Do you have any pics if your hair line?

I don't want to sound like a dick, but if it is sparse, then it doesn't look natural. The whole point of a transplant is to mimic nature, by creating an illusion of density. There is no illusion of density right now. Trust me, I had very realistic expectations for this procedure, that is why I have been so disappointed with my results. However, I know that getting upset is not going to help the matter, so I am remaining as cool as a cucumber until 12 months

I agree at the edge of the temple points look a little thin, Like the others have said, are you happy with your hairline? Do you have pics of that ?

Looks to me it Does need another little pass along them temple points , Left side more so. Would the doc be kind enough to do though that is the question
