After contemplating and researching for a long time, I finally started Oral minoxidil 1.25mg daily on 21/3/2024. I am at close to a month now. I was thinking about continuing my old hair transplant thread but made a new one as I thought it will get more views. The plan is to increase it by 0.625mg every month till I reach 5 mg and watch out for all side-effects. Its already been close to a month and I have upped the dose to 1.25mg / 2.5mg on alternate days i.e have increased the dose by 0.625mg from the previous month. Sideffects: Keeping a close eye but none reported so far Results: Too soon. But there was a surprise, I can say with surity (Not a Placebo, for sure )that around the 20 day mark, my hair shed had reduced. I wasn't shedding much previously. It was just that when I used to comb my hair, bath etc, there were 5-10 hair on the brush etc. these are close to 1-5 now. I will keep the thread updated. Will also add pictures. -

Which doctor is going to be willing to do this. More importantly which doctor will not botch this up ? If your going to do FUE in donor scars then might as well get body hair into FUE scars or SMP if it won't fade from scars. -

just consult with docs who offer both such as hattingen, dr path, medispa or h&w personally i wouldnt do strip due to the risk of stretching, nerve damage etc but i also see that you can get a few more grafts out if you combine fue + fut btw joe rogan strip scar definitely hasnt stretched, so even though he had to shave he isnt a worst case scenario. -
In case verteporfin doesn't work on older FUE scars, probably this can be solution ? Trial was done on hypopigmented scars. "All 21 subjects exhibited excellent to complete repigmentation of more than 75% of the hypopigmented scars. More than 90% repigmentation was observed in 17 patients. The mean duration for repigmentation that the subjects were satisfied with was 5.5 months. No adverse effects or recurrence instances were observed. Motorized micropunch grafting is an effective and promising alternative treatment for repigmentation of hypopigmented scars." SST. Nootropic works as a 'cognitive enhancer' that some people use to improve memory, increase mental alertness and concentration as well. Nootropics boost energy levels and promote wakefulness in users. Though Nootropics has various benefits some people concerns the side effects of Nootropics, specifically hair loss. The main cause of hair loss seems to be genetics. Hormonal imbalances, medical conditions like hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, stress are some main factors of hair loss. There are no scientific evidence to prove that Nootropics cause hair loss. But if one face this problem it is important to consult a doctor. To know about the different types of Nootropics and it's uses click here.
