Just back from BHR clinic Megasession with Dr Bisanga in Brussels.

Strip procedure as follows:

Total grafts: 4889
1 Hair: 926
2 Hair: 2038
3 Hair: 1403
4 Hair: 522

Time in chair: About 10 hours.

Overall experience: Very positive. I researched for some time before choosing, and at this time feel I made the right choice.

I had a lot of grafts. I explained to Dr Bisanga that I didn't want to get a lot of procedures, but would prefer to get as much done in one sitting as possible as I basically just want to get back on with my life. Having the procedure causes too much disruption for me.

Initially he said 3500-4000 grafts would be all that was possible, but on the day I was shown to have very good laxity and more was possible.

I'll post pictures of the donor area in a few days once I've got someone to take the photos.

Considering the length of the procedure I don't feel too bad, but I'm pretty tired.

The post-op photos where taken about 18 hours after the procedure.

A couple of things to add:

From the Photo Album I have pictures from Jan 2012 and Oct 2012 immediately pre-op. In the interval between the two sets of photos I started back on Finasteride. It looks like I gained a bit of density on the front in particular. Hard to say for sure without counting the hair though.

I've got a lot of swelling. During the procedure the anaesthetic kept wearing off quickly (Dr Bisanga said I metabolised it quickly) and so had to have a lot of injections. Let me tell you, these hurt - a lot. As a consequence of this I now have a lot of swelling and look like a mekon (virtually unrecognisable).
