Just be aware that a scar @ 6 months is not the finished product. Scar tissue continues to form for at least the first 12 months. It will thicken and harden somewhat after the 6 month mark, maybe a little, maybe more depending on your healing characteristics.

The color of the scar changes over time. It goes from pink->tan->white for most caucasian skin types. Optimum match time with surrounding skin is around 4-8 months. Give it 12 months.

going to a top doc will give you the best shot at having a good scar and good growth,so dont let distance or money be the deciding factor, go on meds , and wait untill you have enough saved, the last thing you want to do is to cut corners on cost , because you could set urself for more surgies down the road, HnW AND DRrahal have alot of results on the net, the other doc you mention is reaitively new compared to the other two docs,not saying you wont get a good resut but im not as familiar with them,as far as the scar goes, its a trade off , there is no magic bullet to cure hairloss. but meds and HTs are the best option on the table,good luck on you research and to more hair.

I can buzz down to a number 3 and the scar can be seen only when i point it out. I have been asked if i had been wearing a cap b4 that was about 6 months after. You can not feel mine and I can tell you, You will be very happy once you have it done. Have realistic expectations and know you may have to have more then 1 surgery if you require a lot on density. I am planning on going in for a second surgery in the next 3 months. Hope this helps.

Hi, I notice you keep mentioning that cost is an issue.

You might want to consider travelling further afield for your procedure, I see you have been quoted 20k for 4-5k grafts FUT?!?

I know from personal experience that in Turkey, you can get 4k grafts via the more expensive FUE method for approx GBP 6k!

If you need any help with this just let me know. Unfortunately the surgeons I spoke to out there no longer do FUT and haven't done it for a few years now.
