Hi Gents! it's now quite a few months down the line from when some of you went to Turkey for the HT's. How's it going now..? Who has also since been to Turkey? and any photos and feedback on the experience?
Thanks in advance! (I saw the Longevita advert in an EasyJet magazine!). Regards, Campbell. |

Hi guys,
Seen this thread so thought i'd post to try and answer a few of your questions and offer some advice... Firstly, to put you in the picture, i am 4 months post FUE from my trip to Istanbul. I had 2,800 grafts in 1 day (the place i use will not do multiple day procedures as it's too much trauma for the scalp and can effect results). My results are fantastic and have been captured in a blog thread on here. I strongly suggest you do a search for my posts on here and take a read as it covers most of the questions and concerns you might have. here is a link to my main thread.. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.co...-istanbul.html With regard to your price quotes, they are very cheap and for a reason... the actual time spent on your scalp by the surgeon will be minimal, if at all. They simply cannot afford to pay top surgeons salaries and a team of trained assistants and make a profit at those figures, fact. You'll find if you shop around in Turkey, there will be those at the lowest price end (as you have picked) and those almost in line with European prices, but i went for the one that was priced in the middle and had the best support package to guide you through everything. For example, you mention the language issue. The last thing you want is to be being worked on, with a team of trainees working on your scalp, who don't understand what you are saying to them!! This is a procedure for life, so you want it to be right! As part of the deal i had, i had a patient advocate with me throughout the whole procedure and to help care for me afterwards. She was Turkish but speaks fluent English and was a fantastic help, especially for calming the nerves. Please do not base your choice purely on price as it is a false economy. I think it's fantastic that we are able to share our fantastic experiences on this forum to help make hair transplants more achievable to those on a lower budget, but, what we don't want is to hear another horror story of "the trainees looked confused whilst the follicles were popping back out of my scalp" etc etc. Choose a company who has ethics, uses great surgeons and has great results. I am more than happy to put you in touch with the Cheshire based company i used as i am both thrilled with my results and the quality of the surgeons and the experience as a whole. Any questions, just ask. Rob p.s 'Dutch' - you are not 'playing with fire' having a HT in Turkey at all. They are one of the most advanced in HT procedures and have been doing them for decades. They are ethical, professional and very competitive, hence great results at lower prices. I admit, i was skeptical prior to having my FUE in Istanbul, but based on my results and experience, i will now only ever have procedures done in Turkey, including dental work. Years ahead of the rest.

They promised my 5000 graft... I had to pay 60% money upfront on booking and the rest cash in Turkey before going in operation room. but unfortunately as it happens , once you are on the table you dont know whats happening till after few weeks and months that you realise you were robbed in operating table DAY LIGHT !!!! With me besides other things main issue that happend is that I realised I paid for 5000 grafts but Longevita , paid only for 1000 GRAFTS to a company to do my surgery and so got a good chunk of my money in their pocket.... By the time I realised what had happened, I was unable to get my money back from my credit card and also Paypal.... so sadly now I know ..how Longevita makes money.... THEY DO SEND YOU TO TURKEY but you are hopeing you are getting 4000 or 5000 graft , as you paid for that many grafts but Longevita on your expenses strikes a deal with a surgery in Turkey for 1000 or so graft... and most of those people in Turkey did not speak English. So this is my sad story and experience with longevita, I thought I tell so you may learn. |

SkinTaj so sorry to hear what happen to you,, have you got in contact with Longevita? also are they willing to refund your money. Cause i have had a friend that had hair transplant through them and they gave him good results, not sure what they done wrong with you. Please dont just leave it as that as you need to make a complain and let everyone know if they are really ripping people off.

Thats terrible that Longevita did that!!
YOu should always get the grafts that you pay for. I also didn't realise that Longevita were just a middle man/agent re-selling procedures. It doesn't help the surgeons/companies out there that are doing a great job. For example, in this case, the team will have done what was requested... the 1,000 grafts, but the customer expects 5,000! Make sure you use a reputable place, wherever the location and go off recommendation and results. Regards Rob
