Montreal,
You're absolutely right: the initial new growth totally looks like pubes! lol! Fortunately, due to my first HT, they blend well with the surrounding hair so it's not noticeable, unless you take a close up still photo as I have done. Yes, I'm still in the ugly duckling phase. That is how it is for many of us and that it how it was after my first procedure too. Of course, that is only for the first inch or two of growth. Afterwards, as it matures, it comes out quite nicely and is indistinguishable from the native, surrounding hair. I cannot tell the difference and I don't know how anyone else could either... For your edification, let me direct you to a thread I started, with several photos, where we discuss at length immature, new growth. Here you'll be able to see the actual hairs up close in all their pubescent glory! Looks great Corv. Since we are at about the same stage, I follow you and it helps. Although I have kept my hair fairly short, I think you may inspire me to grow it out a little again, for the first time in a long time.
![]() Just had my 6 month follow-up appointment. I posted my results in my initial thread and will have them in my photo area. I can't wait for my "pubes" to start straightening out a little, but overall it is such a small price to pay (time-wise) to wait for those to mature. A little hairspray or blow dry, and you can't even tell. ![]() Best of luck, and I am very happy for you.

Doesn't look at all like pubic hair to me, looks like it's coming along really well. Congrats, a mile away from your first op!

You are the psoter child for HTs. It just goes to show that with research, diligence and patience you can get amazing results. Aren't we lucky to have these options in 2012? Glad you have a life outside of the Forums, but I ditto the comment that you have been missed. Check in from time to time...and keep us updated!
