23 year old male came in to see Dr. Friedman due to the loss in the frontal area and temples. Patient had started thinning at age 19. This was really affecting him since he graduated college and had gotten a new job at a corporate office. Dr. Friedman used his dense packing technique using the custom made blades to recreate his hairline. The team used 800 single hairs to re-create the natural look of a transition from forehead to hair line. 732 follicular units were placed in the temporal area and in the front mid-scalp. Dr. Friedman used the trichophytic closure on patient; patient can shave his head using a one in a half blade with no visibility to a scar. Patient is thrilled with his hair line and the results so far. His hair line should be much thicker in another 6 months.

Thank you for sharing this case with the community. I really like the shape of the new hairline. I think it fits the patient's age, and I'm excited to see how the results mature in another 6 months.

I'm curious, what is Dr. Friedman's opinion on transplantation in younger patients? Also, is this gentleman on any sort of preventive medications?

The hairline looks great, however, the patient is fairly young. I'm wondering about preventative medication as well?
