These are photographs at nineteen months post procedure with Dr Bisanga at BHR .
Im still getting hairs breaking the surface at this stage , approx ten to twenty over the last couple of weeks . The tissue is very much improved, i think due to Dr Bisangas low density grafting approach to re establish blood supply into the scar tissue with a view to more grafts being added in the future Am happy so far with the results and worry a lot less about the unsightly scarring , all the best ej |

Very pleased for you, ej! Dr. B's staged approach seems really to be paying off. Already things are tremendously improved cosmetically. Another beard hair FUE pass (or two?) and you should be in excellent shape.

Hi ej,
Glad to see your scars are now growing hair in them, you have made some tremendous progress so far! I see you have had three procedures so far, with around 1000 beard extracted each procedure. And I see where Dr. Bisanga manually extracts the beard hair with an 0.8 mm punch. I'm curious, how long would you estimate it took Dr. Bisanga to extract 1000 beard hairs manually? Were you completed (extraction and planting) in one day for each procedure? Cheers.

Hi Wylie
I would say most of the morning for the extractions , started first thing and finished in time for lunch ,I believe beard extractions are a lot more specialised, and a lot is dependent on the individual , ease of extraction , bleeding , movement in the chair , i have had three one day procedures so far , fourth booked for May hope this helps all the best ej Last edited by ej; 12-31-2012 at 03:46 AM. |

Hi ej,
Amazing post. Could you take a minute and tell us how you got those scars? do you think it was because of scalp laxity or other reasons? If you could do it ALL over again would you have just gone FUE or not even touched your head at all? Thanks, M. |

ej, I can say beard hair really saved your life and Bisanga managed to make you look normal. I really feel pitty for you as you spend all your money in fixing a scar rather than adding hair into your balding areas. Its really a hard feeling of being a victim. I thank you million times for talking out of using Acell sheets in my scar revision future surgery.
So whats the next step? Another beard FUE into scar? How many grafts will it be? Also how many beard grafts you have done in the previous three surgeries for your scar???

Thanks for your reply ej, I'm glad to see you are taking things nice and slow with Dr. Bisanga, smaller sessions of manual extractions increase survivability of the beard grafts, in my opinion, and you are certainly on the right track, the difference thus far is quite obvious. Happy growing on your next procedure.
