I think when females say 'bald', they mean a person would no to moderate hairloss with hair shaven down to a length between grade 0-4.

This is different to a man with the term 'bald' with norwood level 7, who has little hair.

Any woman out of choice will prefer the 'option' of hair on a man.

It is really all about perception (for the most part). Confidence breeds confidence and unfortunately when we start losing our hair, we start losing our confidence. With that being said, there are plenty of confident bald men out there.
As far as dating goes. I think it is fair to say there are certain characteristics which are generally more appealing: being tall, having hair, nice teeth, nice clothes, social. The more you have, the more successful you will be hypothetically. Then of course, you need to take action.
At the end of the day, you need to optimize what you realistically can "control". Accept what you can't control and take action on what you can.

I personally think that the shaved head/ balding look is much more accepted today then when I was 22. You have stars and models that shave their heads and women think they are sexy as hell.

I wish I could have had the perspective I have now on hair. I wish I could just shave it, but a bad HT in the 90's prevents that.

Oh and I think being a bald women is much worse then being a bald male. There are so many of us and so few of them.

That woman is fit as, hair or not! I could care less if she was shaved bald or put a wig on, that woman is fine. If anything, at least shed understand what its like, I could probably relax around her!

Lets face it ... the first thing girls look at is status/money.

I've met short guys, bald guys, fat guys all with hot wives/girlfriends/mistresses. The one thing they all had in common was $$ & boss status. Having money makes you feel superior to other people. (especially in capitalistic cultures)... think Ron Burgundy

Hair does matter but I think most girls would rate it at the lower than money, status, height, weight, and well dressed.

A work colleague of mine (aged late 20s) said to me that "oh don't worry, hairloss is nothing to worry about"

It's funny that in the 5 years I've known her, her last 5 boyfriends all had perfect hairlines except for one who had a shaved head (but obviously a good hairline)!

I'm afraid I'm not convinced!
