Default Dr. Lindsey FUE repair of scar in black male at 6 months

This fellow had a large keloid from a big chain company-hair transplant excised by me several years ago. We excised his scar, even went back and did a frontal transplant. He came in in February for a small FUE to improve his scar. Mind you that this scar shown in the first picture is, by both his and my opinion, a HUGE improvement over where he started when I first saw him. AND, in my opinion, he has so much hair that noone will ever see that scar in the first picture unless he shows them. But, he is a bodybuilder with an eye for continual improvement, and I think that he's pretty reasonable in his expectations, so we did a small case on him. He stopped in 2 weeks ago for pics and is happy. I'll see him for a final check next February as well.

Shown are his scar before the procedure, the intraop and 1 week pics, and then 2 weeks ago, which is approaching 6 months.

Dr Lindsey,

The scar is much improved. I'm pleased to see growth in that thick scar tissue. Nicely done!

Dr. Lindsey,

Very nice cosmetic improvement for this patient! Thank you for sharing.

I field a lot of questions from guys who want to know what their options are for camouflaging their scars and it's great to have some excellent examples to point them to.

All the best,

Thanks for the comments. This guy is a real character. As muscular as a horse, and he keeps his hair modestly long, such that I suspect noone ever saw his scar before I met him a few years back. He has been a great patient.
