Given all of the negative attention another photo album has received, I'd really like to hear some comments on this one.

Admittedly, it would be nice to have a top/down picture and higher resolution photos, but this seems like a very impressive transition.

While it is true that this guy had a large area to cover, somehow it just doesn't look natural. Also, the crown was not completely gone, so I think most of the 7k grafts went on top and in front. The hair seems to stick too straight up in the front. Plus I don't like the way it meets with the native hair on the sides. I would say maybe it's the pictures, but all of his patients have the same thing going on.

If I saw this guy on the street, I'd be thinking "Dude, what's going on with your hair".

For the level of baldness this patient had he has received a good result. It's easy to criticise results like this, but he has come a long way. From totally bald to someone with age appropriate hair. While I don't claim this a top of the world result, sometimes we have to be fair and realise that there are donor limitations to hairtransplant.
Like Gorpy said the hairs seem look like stick straight up, but maybe that's just from the pictures and they use a comb to show the result

I think the main problem with this doctors photos, and may be why he is getting negative responses, is the quality of the photographs. These photos have a certain fuzziness to them making the hairs look electronic. It's almost impossible to assess the true quality of the HT without clear good quality pics.

That's a good point Rambler. The pictures do look kind of "digitized".

Bill,

All I can say is you had roughly the same amount of grafts and there is no comparison. Your's look 10X better. I understand that everyones characteristics are differant, but it also does have alot to do w/ the doc! It's not awful, but not terribily imppressive either

tam,

Pat and I have spoken with Dr. Rosanelli and their staff about buying a new professinal digital camera and setting up a mini-studio in their clinic that will help them take more accurate representations of photos. Over the next several months, they will be taking better and more accurate photos of some of their previous and newer patients and present them on our forum for re-consideration.

At this time, we have inconclusive data to consider them for recommendation. In the event we see better examples of their work, we will reconsider them.

Thanks for asking.

Best wishes,

Bill
