It's been 8 weeks since my 2100 HT. I've noticed that I still feel the transplanted hairs in place in some areas (especially on the right side). I'm concernced, because I thought by now, they should have all shed. Is this a cause for concern?
Can someone also tell me if the scar at this stage is still healing? Mine seems to still be a pinkish colour,... Last question: I wore a bandana for one day 5 days post-op. Can this cause a problem? I never noticed any dislodging of grafts, since I saw no blood. |

At eight weeks out, the transplanted hair that have not shed are likely going to stick around. This is perfectly normal. Some shed, some do not.
Your scar is still healing at 8 weeks post-op. It is not uncommon for it to still have a pink color to it. This coloring will fade over the next few months. The only way that wearing a bandana 5 days post-op would be a problem is if when you took it off it stuck to the grafts and pulled some out. If that isn't the case, then you are fine. I wore a ball cap 6, 7, 8, etc. days post op with no complications. I just used great care. You really want to make sure that the cotton does not stick to grafts that are too fresh because it WILL rip them out. 10 days post-op or so and they should be set up nicely and you won't have to worry about it anymore. -Robert
