3,000 strip with Dr. Feller. Repair of old plug work.
4 years post op.

Details:
This patient had the old style plug work performed many years ago prior to visiting with us. Since then, he lost his entire front hairline and the area of hair BEHIND his plugs. This made his plugs stand out even more than they would otherwise.

While his old plugs were enough of an obstacle in and of themselves, he also has VERY coarse thick hair shafts which always makes rebuilding a complete and "feathered" hairline that much more challenging.

We performed 3,000 follicular units on him 4 years ago, with particular attention to staggering the hairline to give the most natural and feathered look.

This is how he looked yesterday FOUR years after his transplant with us. Note the close up photos where you can see how staggering this thick hair using TRUE follicular units paid off.

There is no way this look could ever be achieved using old style micrografts or minigrafts. This is an an excellent example of a patient on whom only follicular units would suffice.

Dr. Feller,

Given this guys particular situation and obstacles overcome, I think he looks great.

It does appear that the hairline is a bit thicker but as you said, feathering is difficult with extremely coarse hair.

Clearly he has a much improved look.

Bill

Thank you Bill.

As often happens his improvement is far more dramatic in real life than in photos.

By bringing his hairline down about 2 inches, his face became "proportionatly" framed and it looks like it's always been there.

I think coloring his hair a light color really helped as well since he has fair skin. Every little bit adds up to a signficant cosmetic change.
