In my opinion, it can be just as effective in the front as in the crown. Mind you, this is not a typical case, but take a lok at these Propecia/Rogaine before/after photos. Bill

Most of the benefit is seen in the crown and the midzone. I do see patients with finer vellus like hairs in the front that they notice, but not stronger terminal hairs. It is not as beneficial for the frontal hairline.
