This 49 y/o female, who has always had a high forehead and increasingly deep temple areas, came to Dr. Beehner for her first transplant. The outline of her transplant project is drawn. She came back 9 months later for the photos that are shown here. Dr. Beehner has done several similar projects since hers was done, and all of the others had exclusively dense-packing with FU's, but he still offers to use slit or small round MFU grafts in the deeper areas if the patient desires to save some on the cost of the surgery.
She had 1422 grafts placed at surgery, 1282 FU's and 140 MFU's placed in 1.3mm diameter holes, for a total of 2903 hairs. The small circle in the front was dense-packed by Dr. Beehner using 20g needles and the "stick-and-place" technique in order to have maximal density in the frontal core region. |
