This man had had multiple previous hair transplants and had 5 non-parallel scars on his donor region. We did a 1500 graft strip which incorporated 3 of his previous scars. This tension free closure pic should result in him being able to go from 5 to 3 scars, and a potential case next year will get him down to 1 linear scar and a portion of another which runs tangential to donor strips.
Had he not previously had multiple surgeries and a relatively tight scalp, we may have been able to get another scar out with this procedure, however, we would rather know that our scar will be acceptable than to try for too much on one case.
