I had 1600 into my front 1/3 three years ago. Still pretty thin in the sunlight and under lights. What do you think is a realistic achievement with future Ht.

I think that looks pretty good for only 1600 grafts. Im suprised you havent had more loss on the back two thirds if this was done years ago. How long ago was it? Propecia?

I would say you need about 3500 -4500 for good density

I have another 1600-1800 session coming up next week with Dr. Reed in La Jolla. This time we plan on establishing a hairline and filling in density in the front 1/3. I have opted to not hit the crown. The advodar has seemed to slow loss there to a snail crawl.

Question: My first HT hair seems to only want to go forward. I know this is because of the direction of the grafts, but has anyone else experienced this? Its like if i try to brush it back it just falls forward again.

morenewhair1,

It was good to see you in live chat last night

Dr. Reed is an excellent physician and will treat you well.

Do you have any before pictures that we can see for comparison purposes?

Is there a reason that you or Dr. Reed chose to do smaller sessions as opposed to a larger one?

I know that spreading the grafts out rather than dense packing can minimize the risk for native hair shock loss. This is especially true for miniaturized hairs.
