I went to walgreens and tried to find toppik, I also looked for and kinds of gels that would say thickening, I didnt find any. I bought some really cheap junk and when it dries it looks like white dust in my hair. So where can I get toppik? what is a good thickening gel, I may not need toppik if I found a good gel. Also what is the difference between toppik and gel?

Troy,

Toppik is a thinning/baldness concealer and is colored, gel just holds the hair in place better or some go for the wet look with it.

If you want a concealer, many use dermmatch with a little toppik sprinkled in. After it dries, you can use gel with it. I think Robert posted a series of pics on HTN showing dry look and gel'd if you care to search for them. For a gel that's healthy for the hair, you may want to try Nioxin's gel. You should be able to get it at Walmart or any hair salon. I use Nioxin scalp and hair treatment and have the gel.........I just need some hair to go with it. Oh well, more waiting.

Found the link to Roberts pics with dermmatch. I think the 3rd page shows a gelled look. If I can come close to that look myself after my HT comes it I'll be a happy camper!
