danywell,
MSM will only possilbly make your native hair grow faster but will not combat against genetic hair loss. Finasteride is a prescription medicine though generic versions can be bought online. Be careful however, where you purchase it as I have a lot of skepticism about online pharmacies. I have come to believe www.hairlosstalk.com sells legitimate generic finasteride. You may also want to ask your hair restoration physician to see if he will prescribe finasteride (Propecia) to you. Bill

Thanks Bill.
I've already talked with my Doc shortly before the procedure about the finasteride but he wouldn't give me prescription for it. Although he didn't say it directly, I guess the reason he wouldn't is that I've been treated with benign prostate hyperplasia for a while last year (I'm ok now)- and I wrote just that on the "forms"they made me fill up. Yeah, the potential risk in taking finasteride may well be greater than the benefit I'll get from it. |
