The name of orginal poster and the date posted are listed below: From: TAClark29@aol.com Date: 5/9/01 Time: 9:08:58 PM Remote Name: 172.150.23.148 Comments Well today was my day for surgery. I arrived at 8:30am and was finished around 3:00pm. Everything went GREAT.... and I cannot wait to see the results. All of the staff and Dr. Charles seem to think it will be a GREAT success .... as do I. There is lots to say... if anyone is interested in Dr. Charles (his office is in Boca Raton, FL) I would be more than happy to share my experience with you. Let me know by email TAClark29@aol.com ... I can call you and explain the surgery (or if I have to I suppose I could type it out... hehe) Good Luck to all and a big HELLO to you Pat Hennessey from Dr. Charles!! As well, thank you Pat for the nice words of encouragement. Todd

I had my first ht with Dr. Charles on January 14, 2001. In the early 90's I started a ht procedure and never finished. I went around covering these very noticable rows with a baseball cap for 12 years. It is a tough thing to feel like you have lost your youth due to hair loss and most who have experienced it understand how severly it can affect your life. Well, back to my new hero Dr. Charles. I learned of Dr. Charles from a mutual friend who also works for him. While getting directions for his office on the web I came across this website and was very happy to see his name mentioned. I met with Dr. Charles in December of 2001 and he explained the procedure being used. He also explained a course of action based on my hair loss and previous work done. The confidence he has in his abilities is apparent upon meeting him. He had photos of similar cases he has performed with regard to correcting past procedures. I set a date for January 14th prior to leaving to have my first procedure. When I left I was well informed and knew exactly what to expect upon returning. On the morning of the surgery Dr. Charles took the time to go over the procedure once again and showed me where he was going to focus his attention first and why he felt that way. I was a little nervous because as I said earlier, you spend half your life covering your head to avoid drawing attention to yourself and now your head takes center stage. This lasted about as long as it took to meet the rest of his team. He has obviously made hiring the best a priority. I felt completly at ease with all of them and watching them work was something I won't forget. The surgery went exactly as planned and exactly as Dr. Charles said it would go. Everything healed very well and I am in the same situation as many of you, waiting for the hair to grow so I can call Dr. Charles again to schedule the next session. It's good to know that sometimes you can turn back the clock and that is what I think Dr. Charles and his staff have done for me. If you are seriously considering having a transplant, do yourself a favor and call Dr. Charles. Dr. Charles is truly one of the good guys.

Just had my procedure done by Dr. Charles today. He also performs surgery at Shapiro Medical Group in Minneapolis, working with one of the best known Doctors in the field, Dr. Ron Shapiro.
I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Charles and my experience with the Shapiro Medical Group staff. I did 2100 grafts and can't wait for the results. |

I had just had my procedure done today 10-04-2002 and it was a great experiece Dr. Charles and his staff are magnificent. It was totally pain free and even though it's to early to tell I'm sure that I will be totally satisfied when my hair starts coming in.
