6022 grafts in one session by Dr. Hasson & team. No sprays, no voodoo, just great growth from a great hair transplant at only six months. Angles of the hairline are plainly visible and are in the correct direction and angle. Grafts were placed in the front half of the scalp for high density in the entire area. The crown was not touched but has improved since the patient began Proscar a day after surgery. Donor was closed with tricho.

Looks good Joe!!!! Photo #4 tells the real story on this guy (IMO). When you look from the back in his before photo, you can see that he has very little density through the top. Looking at his after photo you can see the density of the entire top of the scalp, in addition to pulling his hairline very forward as well. Kudos!!!!

That is an amazing number of grafts and the results so far are spectacular, your hairline looks great, and to think you still got more growth to go - you must be ecstatic.

Thanks. I wish I could take the credit for having this hairline but I can't. I posted pics of our patient, not me The patient has about 4000 grafts left for more work should he need it but I don't think we'll be seeing him again except for when he is in the area and stops by for a visit.

Yeah, he's got some serious density across the entire frontal section and not just the hairline. I wish you could all see it in person and I'm kicking myself for not having a replacement video camera ready. Oh well, next time.

Density is great but I continue to be thrilled with the tricho scar pics. That's awesome!

great results. did the patient request this size of session? looking at the before pictures, his needs look similar to mine and I was quoted about 2300 to 2500 less by dr. wong. Just curious.

Does a patient ask a doctor for more than what was estimated or did dr. hasson just get more grafts out of the strip?

More than likely(Joe can chime in to verify for sure), Dr. Hasson harvested as many as he safely could and came up with this number. It purely depends on scalp laxity and donor hair density per sq. cm.

Dr. Wong did my second HT and I told him to swing for the fence on the graft harvest.........he got 3886. My laxity and density were good, but, this was my 2nd HT so keep in mind the old scar from 1st HT was harvested as well so I likely gave up 500 or so grafts. I believe the average maximum harvest is around 3500 grafts.

These results are great but not as dramatic as some of the other 5000+ mega sessions shown here. It appears this guy wanted great density in the front........which he no doubt has. Many who have barely any hair in the frontal 1/3 have received in the 3000-4000 graft range and have pulled off the appearance of density.

My post isn't meant to take away from this fella's results, they're solid. Just pointing out that, IMO, there are many who have had loss like this who have received 1/2 the grafts and come out looking great.

No problem. The thing is, this guy DID want max density not just in the frontal hairline but in the entire recipient area. His case was one where is made sense as he still has probably 4K more grafts available for future sesssions (he won't need them though). I know the visible results can be duplicated with, say, 4000 grafts (still more than most clinics can do at once) but the benefit is when this guy's hair is messed up, gelled, slicked, under sunlight, under flourescent light (like in these pics) or any other situation. The density is REAL and not an illusion.

After I initially looked at this and posted my first response, I thought about what had actually been done and I came back to see that Bank had beaten me to the punch----
I am glad to see that others recognized that this patient exhibited characteristics that allowed this treatment plant to be attempted. Another good point is that the patient asked for this to be done.
Bank, you are right, many have had 3 to 4 thousand in this area and have had just as good of a "look"
