Angela was diagnosed with scarring alopecia confirmed by biopsy. The scalp produced deep scars killing off her hairs. Fortunately, the condition was dormant and she safely had transplant surgery in 2005 that gave her a result freeing her from the stigma of female hair loss.

Dr. Farjo,

Thanks for posting some of your patient's photos.

Could you tell us:

1. How many grafts/hairs this patient received and the breakdown of 1,2,3,4, etc hairs per graft?

2. Do you have any immediately post op photos you can post from this patient? I'd also like to see progression pictures if you have them...1 month, 3 months, 6 months, etc.

3. Did this patient experience any kind of shockloss?

4. What technique did you use on this patient? Strip? FUE?

Thanks.

Bill

As promised,
Angela received a relatively small procedure of 1600 FUT with tricho closure.the size of the operation was partly dictated by the scarring element.Due to the work not being in the hairline zone , hair count is not reflected. No shock loss noted and no imm. post op photo's available. She has recently undergone further surgery and pictures and details will be added when appropriate.

Regards,

Mick Mchugh
