HAIRLINE REPAIR
This patient came to SMG with unsightly plugs at the hairline. The patient felt he had no choice but to wear a hair piece, which he also detested. The game plan Dr. Shapiro and patient came up with would take multiple sessions to accomplish their goal of total naturalness to patient's hairline. Since this patient had so many plugs at the hairline and the hairline was too low to alter, Dr. Shapiro opted to do a resection of surgically removing the whole front row at once. His first ht consisted of 1490 grafts and another 1691 for his last session.

I cannot even imagine what he must feel like. Do you know what you must have accomplished for him? He went from having plugs in his hair line and having to wear the nasty glued on nylon thing to what he looks like now. He has to be VERY VERY happy.

Actually, I do know somewhat of what he's feeling. He's very appreciative and have told us so many times.
The first couple procedures he was very quiet and serious. By the end of his one year post op, you couldn't avoid the bounce in his step nor ignore the flirting he did with the girls in the office. The transformation is not only in appearance but in his spirit as well. I posted his progress because we do many repair work but not too many on resectioning hairlines. I was impress with Dr. Shapiro being able to produce an undectable scar and thought others would appreciate seeing something different.
