Dr. True treated this patient in his mid 20's with follicular unit extraction (FUE). The session consisted of 727 follicular units, 477 are singles and 250 are two's. A total of 977 hairs. The goal was to shore up patient's hairline erosion without evidence of a linear scar in the donor area as this individual wanted to have the ability to wear his hair buzzed as well as grown out.
A second treatment is being planned to add additional density to the corners.

Hi PGP.....the session began at @9 am and finished up in the mid afternoon. The length of this type of procedure can vary obviously in terms of how many units are being extracted, but also hair type and the responsiveness of the skin can be factors among other things. An FUE procedure is quite laborious and detailed so its generally comparable to an ultra-refined ultra-dense FUT in terms of time.

Looks very nice . How many grafts are usually needed to feather just the very front 1/4" of the average hairline ?

Typically for an area you describe it may be @40-45/cm2.....depending on the adjacent hair approximately 400 fu's, can vary on an individual basis

hi orange, looks nice but one niggle.
how likely is this guy to carry on balding and then lose the forelock(middle)?
is he aware he is probably going to need further surgery?
i only ask as he is still relatively young(mid 20,s).
my brother looked like this in his mid twenties,he was thirty last week and now just has a small "island" at the front and his crown has gone too.he looks on the way to a norwood 6 like his big brother.
also is he on meds?

balody, thanks for adding niggle to my vocab., had to look that one up.....this patient as are all of our prospective patients has been given a short and long term perspective on his hair loss progression and what is needed now as well as possibly in the future to manage the situation with not only hair transplantation but medical therapy as well. Yes he has been on Propecia for for @ 3 years now. thanks for the post.
