Just wash your hair normally. Whether you treat your hair gently or not has no effect whatsoever on your hair loss.

Thanks LL,
This is something I'm subtly aware of, but psychologically I find it really difficult to "lather up" my hair like I used to when I didn't have to worry about seeing hundreds of hairs in my hands. Due to this trauma I often relegate myself to just mixing the shampoo in water and pouring it over my head a couple times =( |

Martin,
You are right. It's purely psychological. Hair shedding occurs only to hair that has already detached themselves from the follicle underneath the scalp. Whether or not you massage your scalp with the shampoo or pour it over your head with water, male pattern baldness will continue to progress. It's a sad and unfortunate reality we all ahve to deal with it. But that's why medical hair loss treatments may be helpful slowing down or stopping hair loss. Best wishes, Bill

My uncle is Norwood 5. He washes his hair, i think, twice a month because he is afraid losing his hair.
I told him, but he does not want to listen.
