First off does it fit my desires... NO

Why is the logical answer... was it the surgery was it the technology ... absolutly NOT... it was simple I do not have enough donor hair to make this a full success.

Would I recomend this procedure for someone who does have enough donor hair lets be clear on this YES YES YES !!!! Do it !!! The techniques are flawless in my mind. tHe hair that was moved is absolutly undetectable close far or right up in your head. A scar along the back of the head wil prevent you from ever shaving your head but minor if you have enoungh hair.

Who ? Shapiro I had him personally. The work is in my view second to none. But make sure he says you have enough donor hair... maybe I would still do it in all honest but I like most patients with minimal and I mean minimal hair wish for more.

For those who he says you have enough donor hair I would believe him without question and the procedure is easy in all honesty, and they make it comfortable. Many other locations may as well but I am speaking for only me and again this is coming from someone who wishes more. I feel that is about as honest as it gets.

Good luck

nervous,

Sorry to hear the HT didn't fulfill your desires. I do thank you for sharing your post as it sends a message to everyone..............donor supply is limited. This is why it's so important, if a person is consdering a HT, that they consult with an ethical professional. Would you care to post pics of your result here for viewing?

Nervous,

Like hairbank, I'm sorry your HT didn't meet your desires. I guess to some degree an HT can never meet our full desires, especially since we are desiring a full thick head of hair like we had in high school...but it can give us the illusion of density if placed by a qualified physician like Shapiro in your case. Nonetheless, your message is priceless as Hairbank said...donor hair is limited and you won't be able to recover a full head of hair again.

If you are willing, we'd love to see some pictures of your transformation.

P.S. I made an assumption here which I shouldn't have...which Dr. Shapiro did your surgery? When I was referring to "qualified physician like Shapiro" I automatically had Dr. Ron Shapiro in my head, however Dr. Paul (his brother) seems to be also doing some fine work. There is another Dr. Shapiro (unrelated) that as far as I understand does not meet the standard of today's technologies.

Nervous...

I am sorry it did not turn out as you had wished. Obviously, because of the lack of donor hair by necessity BHT has emerged. Though in its infancy, a number of doctors are devoting time to developing it until results can be predicted. Dr. True has made some headway in this field and I am sure many of the other Coalition doctors will be putting more effort into it as it seems to be a viable alternative for some individuals.

If I were you I'd keep an eye on this forum for upcoming developements in this field. Best of luck to you.
