Hi All,
Just thought I chime in here as I am the patient.
First off, thanks for all the feedback, it's great to see people take the time to write their comments/thoughts good or bad.

There seems to be quite a bit of debate on the quality of the photos. Granted they may not be studio quality, probably because they weren't taken in a studio . I still feel they're not half bad, especially comparing them to the 1000s of photos I looked at before taking the HT plunge. Also its bloody difficult to take a good photo of HT work, you can never quite capture what the result looks like in person. Although the pics Spex took of me outside are pretty close to what my hair looks like in the flesh.

The poor quality is probably my fault anyway, the 2 weeks and 6 month updates are photos I took myself and sent onto Spex . I'm no photographer and the camera I used wasn't the best. The last set of photos posted by Spex would be at around 20month mark. We met up for a chat, beer and an update. We Lost track of time and completely forgot about getting some photos done for the doc . I was running late for my train so Spex had to quickly snap some pics as we were heading to the car while trying not to look to out of the ordinary in the middle of a public car park. So given the circumstances I think the photos are pretty good. Maybe next time I'll fly off to NY , pop by fellers office and get some studio snaps. I don't think this will be anytime soon unless someone wants to pay my fare from the UK. notjustyet your time to shine

Moving on from the photo debate I'd like to add that I'm happy with the results, I could maybe do with a little thickening /tweaking , this is something I discussed with Spex when I saw him but as I told Spex this can wait for the time being and I'll see how I'm doing 3 to 4 years down the road. All in all I'm much happier then I was before the HT.

I'd also like to thank Bill(Bill) for administrating such a good forum (a blessing to all HT researchers) and to Spex for being a stand up guy who's always willing to take the time to help out a fellow hair loss sufferer.

Any questions give me as shout.

JH

Cheers, JH. Your hair truly looks improved, and above anything else I'm happy for your satisfaction! Def post some more pics whenever you get the chance. The 4th and 8th photos that Spex took of you are pretty ideal, so more in that vein and even he most ardent agenda will not be able to detract from your success.

And I apologize for any role in taking the thread away from this simple point, which is simply all I have been expressing and defending throughout this thread till the end: your FUE grew, your hairline looks very natural, it suits you, the pictures with zero product directly in the sun show do quite a good at showing this. Cheers to Dr. Feller and above all else cheers to you.

NotJustYet,

It seems like the majority of your comments have been disparaging, in particular, on this thread. Other than your problem with the initial photos, I'm really not sure where you're coming from.

I've provided links above to dozens of examples of Dr. Feller's work showing his results are of top quality. What remaining doubts do you have?

Well, here it is then...

I think this thread is a perfect example... you have a majority of pics that are either blurry or look foggy (nothing remotely like expected "after" pics) and you get the same group coming on and laying out the praises... it gets old after a while when you read the same comments over and over regardless of the varying degrees of photo quality or even results quite frankly, with this doc in particular more and more. Enough already.

Ethics...if your work is that good do we really need the same five (2, 3 really?) guys throwing the praises out. Youll get the praises if its good work.

I know I am not the only one ON THIS SITE who feels this way, Ive been emailed privately by a few posters.

This just all reminds me of the armani crowd and what they did to that other (now basically dead) website.

This is serious stuff, all we can expect of the the dozens (outa hundreds and thousands) of results posted is that they are the best work for a given doc, let the non affiliated decide if its "totally natural" or "great job again".. I question any doc who posts his patients work and cant take a ttinnnyyy bit of criticism... what does it matter if i say the pics stink if I am totally wrong? Wont the 5 "great work", "totally natural" posts out weigh me? Or is there just a bit of truth in what I post?

If you are a HT doc, and you all make good money, some ALOT of money... then spend just a tad more on getting good pics, consistent pics posted and not the "this just in from the steamy bathroom of my patient, please excuse the shadows"..

No excuses, post good pics and clear and consistant pictures and PLEASE..if you are affiliated with HT docs, dont slap each other on the backs on every post.. I (customer with money) want to see what others really think when I visit a site..good and bad..i can make my own mind if if I think someones off base as i am sure most readers can..

And caution to ANY doc who follows Armanis path.. look where he is now.. and he was really big on threats and super sensitive...right.

NotJustYet,

In my opinion, there a number of clinics that need to work on the quality of photos they take and present. This is why I took the time to create and post the thread How to Take and Present Compelling Hair Transplant Photos. My hope is that clinics will read and apply these principles.

What I don't understand however, is your problem with genuine posters praising a physician for good work. Even if the photos aren't 100% perfect, good work can often be spotted.

The majority of the posters on this forum are patient members, not members affiliated with any clinic. Those who are affiliated with a clinic are required to disclose their affiliation in their forum signature. This way, they are easily identified and visitors to this community know who they're getting advice from.

We take covert posting as a very serious offense, and anyone who is caught receiving compensation (monetary or otherwise) and promoting/praising a physician/product is promptly banned. But to begrudge genuine posters (patients, physicians or clinical reps) from offering a "good job" when they see good results is ridiculous.

I agree that physicians should be ready and willing to take constructive criticism. That's why we operate in a transparent environment. But I think you are being a little over-fanatical and failing to give credit where credit is due.

Thanks for updating us and letting us know your thoughts. Also thanks for allowing your pics to be shown as not everyone is as forthcoming. All the very best mate!
