Scott:
From a former HC member..congrats on the HT. Looking good thus far...if you look at my blog..I didn't really notice any considerable thickening until the 9th-10th month. At the 5th-6th month it was downright depressingly thin. I started using Rogaine foam (7th month)in addition to the Propecia and which seems to be helping.

Hang on for the ride.

Thank you Glock08 for the feedback.I looked at your weblog and really was so amazed at your progress,it must be a nice feeling to have all that hair again.I also got encouraged to think you had only 4326 grafts to cover such a large area.I can only hope to get such good results from my little 2000 grafts to cover just the frontal area and hairline.I know it wont be so dense, but still looking forward to some more initial growth.Maybe I will try the rogain foam to help kick start my growth.

1st off let me congratulate you on the HT! Looks great thus far. Congratulations!

When I 1st came in this thread and seen your 1st pic, I thought someone was using MY pictures! I'm not joking. Look at my gallery/profile thing. WE have almost identicle hair loss pattern.

I had a 3000 graft procedure with Dr. Konior and I'm VERY VERY please with my results this far. I'am exactly 4 weeks and 1 day post op and everything couldnt be better. Well with the exception of all these hairs falling out everywhere but I know it gets worse before it gets better.

I just wanted to chime in and say hi and congrats!

I WILL be watching your progress, so be sure to keep the updated pictures coming.

Happy Growing!

scooter,

You are looking good for only 2 months post op! Things are healing nicely. The waiting period is hard but in a few short months you should start seeing some new growth. Keep in mind it will take quite awhile for the hair to fully mature.

Keep us posted!

Bill

Thank you Burt1973 and Bill for the feedback. You know,i am already pleased with my results so far.For only 2 months it seems I have more growth then some peoples pictures at 4 months. It is amazing to see improvement each day.The waiting has been tough at times but now time is really flying by and I'm excited for the coming months.I actually have some hair up there to apply Dermatch to and it is starting to look like I have hair now.Just last night,my wife couldnt tell if I had Dermatch in my hair or not.

I will definitely keep you all posted.

Hello everyone.I just hit the 14 week mark.So far so good. What a difference 5 weeks has made.Since my last updated pics,I can see some good things happening up north I think I am right on pace with my growth.I am very happy with my results thus far.I am very excited to see what the next few months will bring.

For those who remember I used to wear a system for 9 years. This is my 1st week that I am system free.Topiks and Dermatch have become my 2 new best friends.I dont need to use much for the hairstyle I like.I must say it feels great to be free from the system.Dermatch and Topiks are mush better, and soon I hope to not need them anymore either.

If anyone would like,I will post some pics later of what those consealers do for me.

I will definitely keep posting my updates as well.

Looks great scooter. You have come a long way. I'm happy for you as it has to be such a relief to go out without the "sytem". Has anyone asked you about things? Yes I would like to see a photo of the difference with concealers. Thanks.

Scooter,

Things are starting to look really nice.

I can't tell from your immediately post op pictures, but did you have any grafts placed into the crown? If not, it does appear that Propecia might be regrowing some of the miniaturized hairs!

NN and Bill,
Thanks for the compliments and the quick response.

NN,
Noone has even said anything at all about it.People just think I got a short haircut.I still want it to grow a bit thicker and longer. But for only 3 1/2 months I know there is much more maturing to come.

Bill,
No,I just had all my 2000 grafts placed in the frontal region, about the size of a small palm of the hand.I started taking finasteride about 4 months ago.

I appreciate the feedback from you all,the experts.Since I am still learning the things to do and not to do and how to take care of my HT.Your encouragement, opinions and expertise has meant everything during these rough months.

I am very pleased with my results.I think I am off to a great start.I have to take my hat off and leave it off, lol,to Dr.McClellan and his staff for such a fine job.
