Greetings everyone,
I'm six weeks past surgery and very happy with the results. I have a few questions though. Currently I've retained nearly half the transplanted hair. Is there a chance that I will lose anymore hair even more than two months post surgery? Also when should i expect to see any signs of the new hair? Thanks! |

leica,
Unfortunately, you can still shed your transplanted hairs well into 2 months post surgery. New signs of growth vary with each person, but the average seems to be around 3 three months post op. Don't be alarmed if you go past this mark as this is only an average. It's going to be hard waiting and I've heard the 3-4 month mark is the hardest. Grow well!

Leica,
Thanks for the update. As Janna said, shedding of the transplanted hair can still occur and it most likely will. On a rare occasion, a few patients may keep some or even a good portion of the transplanted hair, but I wouldn't expect this. Keep us posted on your progress. Bill
