Sometimes it's useful to show patients just as they are growing out rather than just preop photos and 1 year post op photos.
This patient visited after only 4 months and consented to allow me to post the photos of his journey to this point. Notice that the hairline is now visible, but not near fully formed. It is enough, however, to see what the future has in store for him. Now, time is working on his side, rather than against him. We'll post new photos of him as he progresses through his hair reclamation. Dr. Feller

Thats cool, thanks!
I am in a similar situation waiting on growth and the longer hair that are 1.5" long in the center represents native hair (that was shaved down in the original pic) that continued to grow. You can see on your patient the outline of hair that was transplanted and is much shorter. Once the growth starts, do patients experience a growth explosion, or do new sprouts continue at a steady rate? What % of your patient's grafts would you estimate have sprouted at 4 months?

Emp,
Growth occurs in fits and spurts. However, the caliber of each hair USUALLY thickens continually throughout the first 14 months. Thanks Jup.

Good (interesting) pix, will be nice to see a comparison in the next few months as it is such a seminal time period for growth.

Dr. Feller,
So far so good! It's funny, because in his after pictures, his profile with the hair kind of looks a little bit like Kevin James! The question remains, that will it help speed up the remaining growth if he wears a Yankee Hat? Nice work doc! Bill
