Kami,
First of all, 5 months is still very early, and many patients don't start growing any new hair until this point. I know it's discouraging especially when you hear of patients starting some new growth at 3 months, but this isn't atypical at this point. Hang in there. More good news is, pimples are a sign of activitiy below...my guess is you will start experiencing new growth in the next month or so. If you don't start experiencing growth in the next month/month and a half, I feel you will have readon to be concerned. Who was your doctor again? Do you have any before and 5 month pictures you can post for us? Regarding red scalp...how red is it? Is it only slightly pink or still significantly red? You may want to report this to your doctor, and get his/her feedback to ensure you don't have any skin infection. I hope this helps. Bill

Hi
Don't worry .. 5 months is early and the pimples are the ingrown hairs coming through which is probably causing the redness ( I'm no doc so feel free to call yours).. Give yourself 6-8 months for seeing results as it varies by person.. Try not to be critical at this point as it will only upset you..who was your doc??

My doc is a very famous surgeon but please let me keep his name at this time. Sometimes I see very short hairs attached to flakes coming out of my scalp and that's bothering me a lot since I assume that those are newly grown hairs with immature shedding!

You have to relax and be patient. The grafts are well set and now just sit back and let nature take it's course..

The same thing happened with me on all 3 of my surgeries, that is just a sign that the hairs are starting to come in, wash your hair with an anti-bacterial soap. If one of the pipmles gets worse and won't go away, go see your doctor he will lance it and it will be fine.
