Many people mistakenly think that you have to wheese to have asthma and nothing could be farther from the truth. I am curious as to whether or not you son ever wakes up at night because of his cough espically after midnight? It is important to treat asthma all the time and not just when you have symptoms. An asthmatic has inflamation that is damaging his airways even though the cough may go away for a while. Primary care doctors are often very slow to label someone with asthma but that's the worse thing for the patient. I will be happy to help you all that I can. The most common medication is Advair but you need to find out for certain if he does have asthma. Does he have allergies? How old is he? I would take him to a pulmonary specialist.
