Dr. Keller-- how long was the strip?
Additionally, is there any explaination for 900 5 hair grafts? I would expect a 1.9cm wide strip 25-28cm in length to yield 4000-4500 grafts when completely dissected (at average density 85 fu's cm/2) Thank You, Jason

I think the hairline and temple design looks very good. Do you have any higher-res close-up photos?

Dr. Keller,
I'm pleased to see that you were successfully able to create a photo album. The result looks very good. Do you happen to have any top of the head before/after pictures you can post for us also? If you have any additional "after" pictures of the crown at a more similar angle as the before, this will also be helpful. I'd also like to hear about the 900 five hair grafts. Best wishes, Bill

Jason,
Where are you getting a 25-28cm strip? Are you approximating based on the average donor strip length? I don't see a length measurement provided so I'm not sure where you are going with this. Bill

I prefaced my comments with the words "I would expect" and I also asked Dr. Keller how long the strip was.
Given that it is commonplace for physicians to take longer strips, as opposed to the short, wide strips that produced so many poor scars in the past, I assume the strip is 25-28cm long. It is also normal for a patient to with average density to produce 4K+ grafts(using the length I estimate and the width Dr. Keller provided) ---this patient does not look to have poor density, etc.. so I simply asked a question for further clarification. I am eager to hear the reasoning behind this approach, and to see why the grafts were not refined further, etc... and possibly what size incisions were used. There are differing schools of thought when using follicular families, but they are mostly used in the frontal core to provide max density, but it looks as if the larger groupings were used in the crown---It is difficult to see b/c of the photos, especially the afters. Using this method can produce excellent results (mostly density) and the density this guy has is excellent, but I do not recall ever hearing of a patient with 900 5 hair grafts out of 3000 grafts, so..... hence the question. J
