The Patient is 45 year old white healthy male with a grade 6 hairloss. He was scheduled for 3000 grafts. I took a 1.5cm strip and used double layer trichophytic for closure. We had 775 ones, 1650 twos and 675 threes most of which was used for the frontal and mid scalp area.

Dr. Meshkin,

It's good to see you posting on our discussion forum. Thanks for posting immediately postoperative pictures.

Any insight into this patient's long term hair restoration goals? I imagine that 3000 grafts over a larger area will give him some nice coverage with moderate density. Does he have plans to come back for more density in the future?

I look forward to seeing more of your results.

Best wishes,

Bill

Hello Bill,
I am very glad to be part of this community and I am going to post more pictures and participate actively in the future. I reviewed this patients options with him in detail and he has realistic expectations. He just had the procedure done a couple of weeks ago and I will post his pictures when he comes back for his followups. He is realistic about his limited donor and he wants most of the hair to be placed in the frontal area, once his hair grows out he will decide if he wants more density in the frontal area or perhaps some in the crown. We will decide once his hair grows out.

Dr. Meshkin,

Thanks for the additional detail. considering his limited donor hair, 3000 grafts is still a good size session. I'll be looking forward to following this patient's progress and seeing more of your work.

I am glad to see you participating in our community.

Best wishes,

Bill
