Dr. Alexander,
I've always been a fan of your work. Results look great. Do you have a hair count breakdown you could provide for us? Was this STRIP or FUE? Any donor pictures you could provide for us as well? And since this topic has come up recently...do you use needles or flat blades to make recipient sites? What sizes of instruments do you typically use to make the sites for 1s, 2s, 3s, and 4s? Cheers, Bill

Thank you Bill for you comments.
Unfortunately I don't have any donor pictures. The pictures I took were all blurry, so the next time he comes in I will post a picture of his donor area. I used the strip method. I use the same custom cut blades as Hasson and Wong. The size of the blades are .7 for 1's, .85 for 2's and 1.1 for 3's and 4's. This pt received 657 1's, 1812 2's and 347 3's, for a total of 2816 grafts. Thank you, Dr. Alexander

Hello Dr. Alexander & Bill, I am 3 weeks post op with Dr. Alexander so I just took a pic today of my donor scar. It appears a bit pink but that might be because I have been doing strenuous work prior to taking the pic. This is the first time I have had a good look at it myself & it appears very fine to me. It also feels flat with no ridges. So I am happy with that! Now I hope to have some nice results like the guy in the Dr.'s pic in about 8 months! |

Dr. Alexander,
I continue to be a fan of your work. Very nice results for the number of grafts received. Looks fantastic, thanks for sharing!

folica,
For 3 weeks, scar looks good. It does appear that you've had some shock loss in the area. In 4-6 months, the shocked hair should return. Dr. Alexander, Thanks for the information and the hair count breakdown. This particular patient didn't have any 4 hair FUs? I'll look forward to more pictures of your patients in the future. Bill

But I really dont think I have experienced much if any as of yet shock loss. It's just the chartersitic of my hair. Check out the pic of my donor area how It appears naturally. there are no typical shock loss spots that are apparent. |

Dr. Alexander,
Great results. This is an example of how far you can go with 2800 Fu if the appropriate hairline is attempted and under the skill of a great physician. I too have always admired your work. The patient must be ecstatic about such a transformation. Thanks for the post. NN |

Dr Alexander,
Nice job! How did you approach the frontal tuft area in this surgery? Did you graft through it at a lower density to try to avoid losing those retained hairs OR did you go with normal denity with the expectation that those hair were quickly "on the way out" any way?
