Orangehair,

This is a great example that shows that with an optimal linear scar, a patient can still wear there hair relatively short without showing the scar.

Thanks for posting!

Best wishes,

Bill

Hey Bill....yes it is pretty amazing how short patients can wear their hair with a great closure....donor scarring with current technology performed well should not be a concern for prospective patients. Thanks for the feedback.

These closures look excellent! Onrangehair, would you say that these are the typical, or average, donor closures that you see in your practice today? Or are they a handful of above average closures, out of a hundred patients?

Wow - those make me very jealous! They look fantastic. Do you have any scar photos from patients who have required more than one procedure?

Looks great. Tell me, how long ago were some of these cases? I'm asking because I'm wondering if they were visible at say the 3, 6 or 9 month mark....yet had faded / healed so much that after month 16 (or whatever) this is what a scar would typically look like.

What are those Drs. opinion on the whole "bump" and being above or below it, as in the debate raging on another thread?

Thank you for posting.

Ja-Man....thanks for the positive response. To answer your question, yes those are typical donor scars. Patients should not only have a terrific result on top but should also expect their donor area to be well managed and maintained. I think in this time of high density treatments, the one and done mentality, its important to strike the right balance, you never want to leave a patient with an unsightly scar.
