Gratefulhead already had two hair transplant surgeries in the past and just wanted to fill the top in as well as add density to the right side of the hairline.
Here are his before and (just)after procedure photos

Dr. Feller and Gratefulhead,
Excellent photos! Glad Gratefulhead agreed to post them so we can all follow the progress. I can see how one side of the hairline was thicker than the other...I had the same problem so Dr. Hasson went a little more dense on my left side than my right. Please keep us posted on the progress. Bill

Dr. Feller, I note that you shaved the head of grateful. Is this something you recommend. I know that the coalition doctors have different views on this matter. I am planning a second HT and my doctor does not feel it necessary to shave the recipient area, but I am wondering if you believe this is a mistake.

Thanks for posting the pics, Dr. Feller (and Grateful). Interesting about the density being different on one side. Looks like great work, I hope Grateful will hang around and post some updates!

Hoping,
I can't speak for Dr. Feller, but I think you'll find a lot of valuable information at the link below posted by Pat, provided by Dr. Hasson. http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=569...571041502#9571041502 Personally, I believe shaving the recipient area is better because it makes it easier on the doctor to make the incisions. And even though doctors CAN do it without shaving, why risk it? Anyway, the above link will provide a lot more insight...Dr. Hasson makes a compelling case and after reading it, I feel pretty convinced. Bill
