Hello this is Sam from Islamabad, Pakistan.. was glad to see a Pakistani surgeon recommended on this site..well he happens to operates in my city so i conveniently consultated with him and was pretty satisfied with non coercive matter of fact approach.. detailed photos...facilities and the kitchen sink.. and have opted to go for 2000 grafts at the HTI clinic Dr. Humayun Mohamand very soon. A little nervous surely..but this site has been very good to me ...and i have been informed, warned to make a logical decision..hope it goes well..thank you people...
P.s buy the way 2000 grafts are costing me 1.5 dollar a graft..is that ok..i mean that converts to a lot local dough...and if anyone has any concern abt the above mentioned Doc...speak now or forever hold your peace...thanks

Hi Sam, I haven't heard anything good or bad about Dr. Mohamand.

Have you asked all the right questions?
ie: What size blades does he use in the recipiant area?

What does he use to close the donor strip?

How many techs will be working on you?

Are you the only patient of the day?

What parts of the surgery does he do & what part do the techs do?

How much area are you covering?

$1.50 is the least expensive per graft I have heard of.
I'm sure its still alot of money there.

When is your surgery scheduled for?

Good luck...

S.A Mirza,

I have heard some good things about Dr. Mohmand and have seen some of his work posted by Pat, the Publisher of this Community.

Here's one thread on him here: http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums/a/albumcomm...1043192?r=1171075192

More information on his recommendation by Pat can be found on this thread:

I believe that Dr. Mohmand and his staff will do a fine job, however I am a FIRM believer of selecting a physician without considering location.

Just be certain that you've researched enough and understand what you are getting into (hair transplantation) before you schedule.

Cheers,

Bill

Thank you folica and Bill for your comments..i could'nt actually answer most of those questions so yes will get into the micro details and find out the specifications like the blade he uses etc..also i understand the location issue and maybe i'm being a little practical ..everyone says he's great and the photos suggest that he's good...i met him in person and he seems to know what he is talking abt..apart from that yes i am kind of sold on the fact that he has done some good jobs on local celebrities and has a good reputation...but i am a skeptic by nature so will investigate further ... thanks and i'll keep in touch..thanks

Bill, I thought you were one of us trying to find real good doctors. Now, even though there are lots of great results on Dr. ******'s site, you wait for patients to speak here. (Something I agree to). But in this case, you actually recommend a doctor based on just a few pictures? What gives? Lady, if you are listening, please stop and do your research. The coalition docs in US are better.
