Dr.Scott Alexander,
Nice job but instead of taking pics with bloody field ,is it not possible to take photo after cleaning transplanted area with normal saline or similar thing?
There would be potentially two advantages
1-Pics would be more clearer to see dense packing
2-If some one is planning to go for surgery ,he/she should not be worried after seeing lot of blood !!

hairsurgerypakistan,
We keep the area as clean as possible during the procedure. As we get further into the day some of the blood dries and we are unable to clean it as well as we would like. We absolutely do not want to force the scabs off and cause more oozing, or worse, damage the follicle itself. So even though the post op photos may not come out as nicely as we would like, they serve their purpose.
