I've recently read, on a number of sites, that Dutasteride, marketed in the U.S. as Avodart, has become available. Has anyone heard or read the same? If so, is anyone here going to run to their Dermatologist for a script and get started?

I read about Avodart and called my doctor regarding it to see if I could get a script for it. He told me that the initial tests showed some funky side effects and that he would not put me on it. He said to stick with the propecia for now until more work has been done testing Avodart for hairloss (it is currently approved as a drug for enlarged prostate only). It sounds to be promising but maybe too early to jump in.
