You are welcome Dr.Feller
I exchanged some thoughts with Dr.Haber,in Q and A, about the position of excision strip.I quoted your view.I hope you don't mind. I agree with you.I know in a most personal/emotional way,the position of the scar on the back of the head,is the first step, important step,in the ladder of reasons that contribute to thin scars.Surgeon needs to determine the optimal place, before he puts the scalpel on someone's head. |

Thanks Ben.
John, There is already a very well established "optimal place" within the donor area to take a strip from. This place, and it's landmarks, are well described in the textbook "Hair Transplantation" 4th edition. Unfortunately, there are MANY doctors who either haven't read it nor figured it out on their own. That's why there are so many people out there with the most wacky donor scars. Find a reputable HT doctor and get yourself fixed up. It's done literally everyday. If you don't want to deal with another strip surgery, then go for some FUE work.

Thank you Doctor Feller
I will when I am able. I noticed today that recently you had a patient from England seeking repair from bad HT,with strip taken too low. I believe he will be happy and with most desirable outcome. Thanks again |
