I am also wondering if stopping creatine use would help to regrow the hair that was thinning? ANd working out does not cause baldness. I've read studies where working out lowers testosterone, plus if working out caused hair loss all athletes would be bald.

It doesnt matter if hairloss runs in your family.. My dad has a FULL head of hair and his brother is a N7..It can just around generations.. Go figure?? If you are saying your natural testostorone level is causing you to lose your hair then it basically means that you were predisposed to lose your hair anyway ( just happened faster)..It's not the test rather DHT which is a byproduct of it.. Some people are sensitive to DHT ( balding people) and some are not ( full head of hair) Keep in mind though, I totally understand as I went through the same process of searching for answers.. Heavy lifting does not cause hairloss and that's a fact.. It may be just when your hairloss is starting??

Superman, if the creatine caused your hairloss, than stopping would make it stop and regrow?

However guys, it does not hurt to stop taking the creatine.

Good luck, I hope you are right !

Muscle Milk

Has anyone had any thinning of hair since using Muscle Milk protein?

kirra,

I have not heard any reports about creatine or any other natural work out products causing hair loss. I'm not familiar with "muscle milk".

I encourage you however to stay away from steroids as it is overall not good for the body. It can also increase testosterone and therefore potentially more DHT in the body which is responsible for genetic hair loss.

Steroids won't cause hair loss but it can possibly expedite it.

Bill

Hey

Ditto about the steroids. Would never do steroids myself but that's def. true. Hair loss b/c of creatine I've read is a side effect, so not everyone gets it...but I'm not an expert, I just try and read objective reports.

Default Creatine Sucks

Hey This Is My True Experience About Creatine
I am 20 yrs old
I started working out 4 months ago when I was 100 kg
I worked out hard and lost 12 kg in about 3 months (Its True )
Then to further increase the intensity of workout and to have even more weight loss I decided to take Creatine supplements so I took Optimum Nutrition Creatine as directed on its Label
But I stopped it after 40 days as I experienced hair loss ( loss of about 100 hairs per day ) It started about 20-25 days after starting Creatine
Just now I have stopped taking it so I'll be posting effects of stopping Creatine on my hairs in 2 weeks
As for my weight I just gained 3 kg due to Creatine also suffered from mild diarrhea
I developed somewhat bloated appearance not the slim one I wanted
Everybody may not experience the exact same results like I did but I think a lot of extensive research must be done about Hair loss due to Creatine Supplements
So Its Best to Avoid It as no extensive research is done till date in this matter
