This patient visited Dr. Feller and had 3,750 grafts placed in just one day using ultra refined dense pack techniques. There are two things worth noting on him in partuicular:
1. The first is that it is very rare to see this much growth this quickly. All the more interesting because he is not on, nor has he ever been on, hair loss medication of any kind. 2. The second is the new growth in the temple area. Here you can see how important just a few grafts in the temple area are for helping to frame the face and pull the whole thing together. Temple work should be considered for all HT patients if the donor area is available. He is only 5.5 months, so he has much more growth to come, but I know viewers like to see the early growing period so they know what to expect for themselves. When he gets to about 10 months and allows his hair to grow long, then you will see an even more dramatic transformation which will be posted right here. Here is a link to his 5.5 month post op video: http://www.fellermedicaldata.com/Video/3750.wmv

Dr. Feller,
At 5.5 months, he has an incredible result and still a lot more to come. I'd love to see a top down before/after photo if you have them. Bill

Thank you Bill,
I posted the photos you requested in the gallery as a before/after. I also included a few more before/after photos to make comparison a bit easier for the viewers out there. If you would like some intra-operative photos those are available as well. I am editing the video I took of him and should be able to post it in a few days. I'll post a link on this thread. This guy is also up for meeting people as he is very excited and wants to share his experience. He looks far better in real life than these photos show. Dr. Feller

PGP,
You're not the first to mention how intimidating he can look. In reality he is really the nicest type of person. Can't judge a book by it's cover, but just the same I'm real glad he's happy!

Dr. Feller,
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see the additional photos. I'm referring to a top down photo that shows the entire top of the head - perhaps I am missing it. I am a huge fan of immediately post-op photos as I believe that it paints a more full picture of the entire result when combined with the before/after picture. So if you have them and can post them, that would be terrific. I do also like progressive pictures when a patient is sharing their journey to give other patients an idea of typical growth timelines, but I don't feel they are necessary for you to post unless you want to Thanks, Bill

Bill,
When I take post op photos I don't always bother with shots that include areas that I didn't work in. Doing so detracts from the overall effect in my opinion and serves no purpose. In his case I did not work in the crown so I didn't bother presenting it. The reason for this is that when people look at the after photo without reading the context (which many do), they mistakenly think the area I didn't work in either didn't grow or was negligently omitted. While the areas I worked in looked excellent after only 5.5 months, his crown now looks worse than ever because of the presence of the thicker hair in the front and the contrast it created. So there is no point in demonstrating it.
