I thought i had posted my 3 yr update pics on here a couple of weeks ago?! Anyhoo.. here are some pics to shown my situ now 3 years on since my repair session with Dr Feller to rectify my previous stalky, inappropriate hairline.

Recap:

In total I have received, approx 2000 grafts from Bosley via 4 strips procedures <.<

Then 1000 fue with Jones.

This left me with growth, but a very inappropriate hairline (unauthentic placement and incorrect use of grafts going on - 2's and 3's on the hairline)
This provided me with a with a stalky, pluggy appearance - (obvious HT!)

Then 900+ FUE with Feller (hairline repair) + 180+ FUE with Feller into Strip scar.

Me prior to ANY surgery:

Pre /immediate/ + 1 yr Post op Feller repair

1 year post op Feller repair

Now - Update: 3 yrs on

Wet / outside pics

Dry

Hope these are clear enough for you Grow well all!!!
Regards
Spex

Spex,

Fantastic results brother! You must be thrilled!

This is a result that everyone hopes and wishes that they can achieve.

The sad reality is however, that those with minimal loss can achieve a much denser look than those with a lot of hair loss (like me).

So even though Dr. Feller is stellar , it is important for everyone to recognize that not everyone can achieve the density that Spex was able to achieve.

Best wishes,

Bill

Thanks for the feed back Flac. Indeed - these are MY results and people can't expect to achieve the exact same result from the same number of grafts - There are many variables that effect the overall end result. With a top Doc though they will be able to achieve a similar authenticity. I make EVERYONE i meet and interact with aware that these are MY results and that everyone's results vary depending on all the different variables associated with HT's and The illusion of HT's -

Hair Characteristics being a big factor in the equation.

People should not try and compare different peoples results. It makes no sense at all because there are many physiological differences between patients that range from:

- Hair characteristics
- Persoanl expectation/goal
- Amount of their pre-existing hair loss
- Whether they had surgery before
- Their scalp laxity
- Physical size of their skulls, ie how much area needs to be covered
- Density of their hair
- Average number of hairs per follicle
- Hair shaft thickness
- Hair colour
- Styling choices etc etc.........................................

This is why choosing a good doc is essential in order for him/her to use their experience and skill to enable the individual to achieve the best result possible for THEM off the back of all these variables. HT is not an exact science and that is why choosing a Dr who has the ability to determine what is best for the patient long term is essential off the back of the different variables the patient themselves bring to the table so to speak.
All the best.

Looks great Spex. Very natural hairline. Where would you estimate you would be on the Norwood scale without a HT? How much donor is estimated in reserves? I'm slightly confused by your photos though. The ones with the hairline drawn in with blue pencil-- are those pre Dr. Feller? If so, maybe it is just the pics but the hairline didn't look all that bad IMO. Would you only go FUE in the future?

NN, Hi mate!

Approx reserves estimated at 4000/5000 grafts

On the NW scale with no HT'S? Defo 3 - 4 NW

Pic pre NO HT'S and no meds (2000). I lost my hair to this stage over the space of approx 18 months - so my hair was going fast. At this point pre my first Bosley session i got on meds (propecia). No meds and No Ht's..... heaven knows where i would be - safe to say worse off than this pic i think.

Pre any Ht's

This is my situ pre feller - Feller drew these lines.

The pictures do not accurately represent the situation i had been left with pre Feller

I was left with good growth from my previous sessions but the pics here do not clearly show the true state my hair was in - I have seen a lot worse and i appreciate i was lucky to come away from so many previous sessions with this result but it still was not satisfactory - far from it.

The hairline was previously very inappropriate (unauthentic placement and incorrect use of grafts going on - 2's and 3's on the hairline)
This provided me with a with a stalky, pluggy appearance - (obvious HT!)

Here are Dr Feller words on my situ post op with him :

Until I performed the procedure on Spex he did not have a satisfactory result from his prior strip surgeries. While he did have significant density on the top, he did not have a good cosmetic appearance in the front line. He looked stalky, spacey and generally unnatural. My one procedure was the final one he needed to bring it all together.

900+ FUE with Feller (hairline repair)Immed post op:

I would defo be prepared to go via the strip method if my further loss warranted a strip. Strip is more invasive but to be honest it didn't bother me at all.

Hope this helps make better sense!
