Ok guys -
I'm going to have a consultation with Dr. Elliott of the Elliott & True Group. My father had 3 sessions with his partner Dr. True in NYC. His results are fantastic and perfectly natural. I am also going to give NHI a try and meet with Dr. Rassman and upon Alex's recommendation with Dr. McClellan. So far that's my leads. However, I am expanding the scope of my search to the entire country in search of the best one. I run a Plastic surgery company so i am going for the best. So far, one of the most prominent PSs in the country (who do not perform hair transplants - eliticism and condescending attitude towards hair transplants) has recommended to me Dr. True in NYC. Let me know your thoughts. I may look into Dr. Shapiro as well, thanks to our sage moderator, Pat. |

After visiting several and picking one locally that I wouldn't return to, I'd suggest Dr. William Reed in La Jolla. Quality, methods, procedures, practice and price are first rate and worth the extra trip. 5% travel discount for LA residents. Website is www.ljhr.com

Thanks for your feedback regarding Dr. Reed in the San Diego area. When I was in San Diego this Spring I made a point of researching and visiting what I thought were the most promising clinics.
I was reluctant to recommend Dr. Reed because of his continued advocacy of "minis and micros" at the hair conferences based on the tired argument of "better density". With large sessions of all microscopically dissected true follicular unit grafts a patient can and should have the best of all worlds - quality and density. I understand that Dr. Reed is now beginning to evolve toward using a microscope for graft dissection and towards more smaller FU grafts. I chose to recommend Dr. DeYarmin for the San Diego area because he has been committed to doing all micro FU hair transplants exclusively for over three years now and his patient results look terrific. I would like to try to keep an open mind on Dr. Reed however because I have never heard any negative reports about him or his clinic and he seems to be evolving his technique. Please post greater details here about your surgery - i.e. - the number of grafts and sizes, how they were prepared, and your ultimate growth rate and visual results. Thanks for sharing - Pat - editor Thanks for reading this post. But it's your posts that make this discussion group real and vital. Please register - it's free and easy - and then jump into the discussion.
