This patient came in last week for his one year follow up visit so we could see his results. 4150 grafts were placed for a new hairline and for solid coverage over the top of the scalp. The crown was untouched and allows the patient to perform a pretty good comb back. He tells us he's happy with the density and coverage on top to the point where he is no longer concerned about the back.

Flyby,
I'm glad you like this result. I might add that there is no flash, no studio lighting or false angles with this presentation. What you see is what you get.

Jotronic,
the results are fantastic as always. I was just wondering how many more grafts would it have taken him to lower his hair line a bit? He has great looking density, but Im just curious because it appears (from the last pic) that not too many grafts were placed in his crown and 4K is a pretty significant number itself. |

Wow,
This is awesome, very natural. If he ever comes down with a case of hairgreed, looks like he has good donor. If I were him, I would lower the hairline slightly and hit the crown with whats left. The nice thing here is this fellow does not really need another session. |

NG2GB,
Actually he had zero grafts in his crown. I mentioned this in the photo caption but I guess I should have said so in the actual post. We wrote a script for Avodart so the growth you see is not from surgery. Dr. Hasson made a soft transition from the crown into the bulk of the work that is on the top then of course the hairline so all of the 4150 grafts were in the hairline and top alone. To lower his hairline in the same session would take a significant number of additional grafts. Nobuzz, Yeah, He does have good donor but as I understand it he's happy and done but as you said he's got plenty for round two should he change his mind.

Joe,
Once again some awesome shit. I personally wouldn't lower hairline as it would no doubt chew up some serious grafts and he is only going to age. Yes, it might look great on him now but this looks like a perfect plan for the 1 and done scenario. |

Joe,
Very nice and natural looking result. This patient must be thrilled. Hopefully the Avodart will do something for his crown. If not, I'm sure a second surgery will fill it in quite nicely. Any immediately postoperative pictures for this guy? Bill

A bit of a detour, but since it's been mentioned multiple times, I'll inquire: Avodart. Is this the primary med (as opposed to fin) that you guys prescribe? And, what has swayed you towards prefering it over fin?
