I'm having my HT procedure in february with Dr Hasson and was wondering how your scar looks now that it is well over a year and if you had the trycho closure done with Hasson?thanks Mark

fixing it,

just out of curiosity how many months was Dr.H booked out in advance--how long did you have to wait?

fixing-it,

I am happy with the way my scar looks overall. I typically shave the sides and back to a 3 or 4 clip and the scar is hardly visible at all.

Keep in mind that I've had two prior surgeries with two different physicians. Donor closure (especially trichophytic) on a virgin scalp is typically a lot cleaner than a non-virgin scalp.

I have taken some pictures of the sides and back of my head that can be found in my photo albums (follow the link to my hair restoration journey below and my photo albums can be found there).

Best wishes,

Bill

Bill,

I checked both links and I was not able to find any pics of your donor scar...just lots of pics of you without a shirt on.

Janna,

You have to click on the links within the links .

For all of you who need help, Click here to get to my third hair transplant photo album with Dr. Hasson. You will find pictures of the donor scar burried within the 109 pictures.

Also, here is a picture of the back of my head at about 11 months. Hair cut on the sides and back at about a 4 clip. There is an area on the back of my head where the hair appears a bit longer over the scar. This is not intentional...I think I must have missed with the clippers. The scar is well hidden with a 4 clip.

Ahh, that's better. I'm not sure why you're so vague about the details. Hardly any pictures either. Your donor strip went all they way to your temples! You look great. Thanks for the correct link.

Janna,

I've been told I was vague before. Maybe I should make my story longer and add some additional pictures eh?

Yes, my scar goes ALMOST all the way to my temples. One may suggest that the scar is a bit outside the universal safezone. I would agree. However, I believe particulars can be made for specific cases based on age and family history of hair loss. This is why I gave Dr. Hasson the permission to proceed that far. Though it may not be universally safe for all patients, I believe that it is safe for my situation.
